Who else generally finds TEXANS to be ANNOYING?

We were shooting pool in a bar. Not shitfaced or anything, he just got all freakin serious and shoved me, everyones watching. I had no alternative either blast him or put my tail between my legs. And I aint no dog. Messed up because he was a Staff Seargant and I was a Corporal at the time, fuck that shit we were friends!

I'm from Whitedeer texas and we didn't even have locks on our doors.
Just good christian people in general and polite and proud of their state. I live in OK now but Texas is my home. In my town you never have to worry about drugs or your kids getting shot or kidnapped. the worst thing that ever happens is some runs over the deer stature in the middle of main street drunk off moonshine. We were behind the times and things move at a slower pace and the hottest girls around. trust me.

Not for some people, but I loved it. There were 800 people in my town and I rode a mower to school. I had 5-9th grade in the same class. my parents were one of the only people to make it out of there with a college degree and get a real job other than farming. I'd give anything to move back and sew wheat all summer and not have to worry about anything. The only state that still upholds christian values and a handshake. They aren't into fancy cars and houses, just good honest people making a living from farming.

We're just like any state. There are those select groups that get a bit fanatical about it. Like Toozee said, great place to live, good air, great women, kick ass music,etc. We're still paying for the Branch Davidians and Heavens' Gate, but what do you expect..we're in the bible belt. For those who wanna pick fights for you taking their cowboy hats off, their hats were on too tight and you did them a favor. Good job. I don't have "I'm gonna beat yer ass" pride, but I do love it here, and yes...Dallas is awesome as well as Austin. I haven't been to San Antonio in quite awhile, so can't speak for that one just yet. Basically, don't let a few idiots allow you to develop your opinion on the entire state. I promise, we're not all annoying. Except for Toozee, he's pretty bad. Hey oubeta, I've heard of Whitedeer but can't remember what it's near? As for me, I'm in Abilene, and I have no more to add to that really.

Whitedeer is in the panhandle an hour from Amarillo near pampa.
Best town on earth. No crime at all no drugs, just good ol boys.
But on the other hand most people from there get stuck there and don't make much of themselves, but they are happy living a slow paced farming life. I go back there every year to ride in the rodeo and it puts you back 100 years. I was born in the wrong time ara..

Never understood why people from Texas have so much state pride... quite unwarranted IMO.
