I can leg press 4 x my body weight and that's only because there is no place left for me to put the plates. I max out the side of the machine and I pile a few on top of the machine and rep out. It's a great feelling to have the whole gym watching you.
Keep at it. Legs get strong fast. You'll be surprized in 3 months.

Damn I better be able to or I would rather have a wheel chair, com on everyone should be able to do it once or they couldn't get up the stairs or walk around without crutches.
Wow...I can't tell how to read this, and I hope that we didn't fend off an up and comer that was making gains only to be laughed at by a bunch of us who have been at it for a while. I am proud to say that I have worked my way up to the machine loaded up plus two lifting buddies sitting on the sled. I did it on Friday for two and a half reps after my regular two sets of 6-8 and couldn't walk right this weekend. But I remember when I didn't have the muscle recruitment to do my body weight.
Just wait flubber boy...you'll get up there if you keep at it.
