Which scale is correct?

Today I decided to weigh myself at the gym, using one of those proper sliding counter balanced scales

It read 196 lbs or 89kg - which surprised me because I didn't think I was that heavy!

When I came back home the cheap spring loaded bathroom scale read 86kg or 189 lbs...

Both readings with clothes and shoes on.
So which is correct!?

So I think I may have to get a new scale, been thinking about one of those digital Tanita ones with the bodyfat % readout.
Anyone have one? Are they accurate - the weighing not the BF% feature?

In any case I am literally growing before my eyes! :mommakin:
A month ago I was 83kg with shoes and clothes on using my bathroom scale...I should be 100kg (220lbs) by Christmas if I keep at the same bodyfat level :)

zero out the balance scale and make sure it is balanced.

try moving your foot position around on the springy scale and see if it changes. alot of times if you lean one way or another or have your feet too far back it makes a difference.

i would go with the balance scale as it is probably made to be accurate or at least used for the long run. spring scales are a dime a dozen and can get out of whack pretty easy.

either way be consistent with the scale you use. it should denote change over time. if you bounce from scale to scale you will never know for sure.
