Where do you want to live???

I realize that I can not live here in this small town and make the kind of money that I want to make, but things are just so perfect here sometimes. I walked outside tonight and looked up at the moon and the stars and all around me. I could see 4 houses and a Church in sight...and at 11pm there was not a single light on anywhere.

I can sit out on my back porch in the summer and listen to Bob Segar on the radio and sit in the hot tub in the Winter when the snow is all around me. I can take long drives out to the middle of nowhere. On the way home...I'll never even see another car. I get to stop and watch the deer cross the road.

It is so beautiful here.

alone in the country, miles away from a large town (far enough to not be nearby, too far to be too close).

I live in a similar place. I was born here. My father was born here as was my GF, GGF. I left about 20 years ago and never intended to come back. Fate drew me back. I am now raising my family here. I have a great job and, for the most part really enjoy living here. Sometimes the small town gossip and politics get on my nerves. A little anonimity would be nice (I am an elected official).

My compromise is temporary escapes to a cabin north of Gunnison CO and my father's beach house in Galveston TX. Hopefully someday, I will get that 50' sailboat i always dream about.

I think I am where I want to be.

19th ave.

That would be nice. It sure is a stepup from 3rd avenue, and it's much better than Broadway. Although, Main would be nice, too.

more please.

Well, it all really depends on what you want. If you don't want to deal with a bunch of yuppies, then avoid Euclid and Oak. MLK is really nice if you're looking for something moderately priced (and if you like some mighty gooooood ribs :p). Hmmm, there are many more options. Market is interesting - there's definitely more of an artsy feel to it. The corner of 22nd and Jefferson is kind of shady - avoid it. You could also find some good deals on Franklin. Oh, yeah, Birch is niiiiiiiice.

I used to love NY but with all the crap going on here I would love to get out of here!! Somewhere like Vermont or Colorado...or even what you described sounds perfect :D

thats hilarious.

stumpy,
i am a very suspicious person. my suspicion was most aroused when you said "it sure is a stepup from 3rd ave." because this is so very true.
i have been to few places and am aware of the fact that the same st. names are used throughout the country.
but i will keep my eye on you just in case.:alien:

no where else but good old Australia.

It seems every other country is fucked up.

Yep. You can't even compare Australia to such Thirld World shitholes as Switzerland or Denmark. Also, the total absence of paved roads and housing in Berlin, and other major "urban" centers in Germany like Munich or Hamburg, make it almost impossible for the naked street kids to survive. It's pretty sad. I've also seen dirty Parisian whores give free blowjobs to Romanian Gypsies so that they would have something warm in their stomachs for that night - it's pretty amazing how fucked up life is over there.

It's good to be suspicious. Well, I've also been to several cities in this great nation of ours, and I've noticed that street names usually correlate with certain urban expansion patterns and internal migration. In other words, these patterns apply not only to one city, but to most urban areas in the States. Therefore, I think that specific urban planning, street names (as part of municipal planning) and urban migration patterns are interconnected.

It's not me who comes up with all this crap. I have this little demon in my computer ( I bought him in Botswana when I was there on a business trip) who just generates random bs when I tell him to. I can sell him to you if you want - he only cost me ten pula, but that was a long time ago. Five bucks, OBO.

Back then the pula was worth a lot more... hehe...

Btw, my 3rd ave comment was a completely random guess.

PS There was a severe misspelling in the original message. I sent you another one.

I still say that everyone is missing out on the beauty of Kentucky. I mean...where else can you go where you know everyones name because it is on the back of their belt? I just love it.

I know what you mean man I feel it everytime I visit the family in rural Arkansas. Just a different feeling of life down there like everyone is just a little more open than up here.

Bfold you would be an idiot to leave a place you love so much over something as trivial as money.

Believe it or not, I haven't been stuck here in Wisconsin my whole life. I have lived in Washington DC, New York City, Tempe, Arizona, and Colorado Springs.

I have always wanted to move back to Colorado~~live in a log cabin chalet up in the mountains, with nothing but acres of wildlife surrounding me. Only time will tell I guess!

I enjoy eastern TN...it is very beautiful with the mountains and everything...the fall colors are great and the seasons aren't too extreme. BUT...I don't know if I will stay here or not. I will need to travel around for a bit to see where I would like to land. If I do that alot and still feel that TN is my home...then this is where I will be!

B fold....you are SO correct...KY is a beautiful place! I love visiting.

What a good question....I think about where I am going to live everyday of my life. I also live in a small town out in the country where I can walk outside and see nothing but stars. The other night I walked outside and saw the northern lights...it so so pretty and I thougt to myself how lucky I was to be able to see the beauty of Gods creations. Living in the city doesn't always offer those chances. Although on the other hand I tend to be more on the city girl level too. I love going and having fun and being able to have tons of stuff to do.....it would be awesome if I had a club to go to every weekend. Hard to make a decision when half my blood is country through and through and the other half is screaming city lights and broadway shows. I guess I can allow take what God gives me and where ever I may land is my destiny. Lady

I want to live in Washington State in the Pennisula area....where my parents live. It is so beautiful up there not to mention so many things to do outdoors. I almost didn't come back to Texas last time I was up there.

where ever life takes me,

but would live in either NY, Maryland, Cali, Seattle or Zona

Yeah...I mean...there aren't many places where when you call Dominos to deliver and you have to meet them 1/2 way...
