When Training Forearms and Grip strength?

When training forearms and grip strength, how many of you incorporate the Farmers Walk with heavy dumbells?

Farmer's Walk

Grasp a heavy object in each hand and walk — that's it. Early in my training I focused on increasing the weight.

Tips: Start with your wrists flexed. As you lift the weights off the ground, they'll straighten your wrists out. Also, make sure you're balanced before trying to walk fast with the weight.
 
Stiffler:

The farmer's walk: Basically, this country boy exercise involves deadlifting a pair of heavy dumbbells and then taking a stroll. You can perform a designated number of "sets" for a certain distance or have a contest to see who can walk the farthest.

The farmer's walk is intense and is not intended for sissy boys! Aside from endurance, this exercise is great for the grip, forearms, and traps. Actually, it's difficult to say what body part this exercise works because it seems to tax every fiber of your being
 
Typically after a leg day - for a finishing movement, or after deadlifting.

One thing to think about - while increasing the weight is great - increasing the diameter of the handle is also very good.

If you have your own equipment (I have my own wrist roller) - 2 or 3 revolutions of duct tape every workout gives you a minute increase in diameter. After a month or two - up to 1/4" bigger. THAT WILL INCREASE YOUR GRIP STRENGTH.
