I like the no-carb (or one gram) whey scoop right after lifting, I still think it's the fastest aborbed by the muscles right after a workout. Then a shower and then a decent pro/fat meal of some sort.
Well Ive always been told that there is insuling sensitivity after your workouts,thats why your pwo drink is suposed to be carbs,protein so the insulin will drive those nutrients into your muscles.I guess if you eat fatty foods during this period it would drive the fat into your fat cells.
I understood pre workout meal could have some carbs. but not after during keto.
before would give you energy to workout. also you would burn them leaving you with none to store. are you cycleing you carbs? or are u trying to stay in ketosis?
different on a keto diet though, you have no carb intake PWO to spike the insulin levels to store the fat on your body. I'm not sure EXACTLY but to be safe i usually eat my pro/fat meal an hour after lifting and stick with just the whey iso powder immediatly after my workout.
