what size needle to use in the shoulder?

were going to put 250 of sus into our shoulder, but what size needle? my freind has a needle that he used before but i need to get one. what size? 1 1/2, 21 gauge? and exactly how far should you stick the needle in?

I've buried 1 1/2 inchers in my delts without a problem...wouldn't advise it for everyone though, but it can be done.

I've used 23 1 1/2" I only put 1" in. It it highly unadvisable to bury the whole needle to the hub.

redhonda, i might be reading this wrong, but did you say you need to get one(1) needle? you know using the same needle twice is not good, right? sorry, but this just caught my attention. i hope this is mis-communication.

i couldn't agree with edii more. redhonda, there are too many sites that sell syringes dirt cheap. you should have a generous supply of all size needles on hand so that you don't have to reuse them. using a needle once dulls the hell out of it, and not to mention the RISK of injection.
