What kind of carbs after training at night?

My schedule and my training partners schedule allow us to work out at about 8pm--I keep getting different advice about eating carbs after training at night-the only carbs I'm eating after training is the dextrose in my post workout drink(with creatine and glutamine)

PW do a dextrose/whey shake - add some creatine and glutamine.

1 hr P WS - go with a low-gi meal with protein and fats
For example: 6 oz. chicken breast, 1 cup of yams, 1 medium salad with 1 tbsp. of olive oil.

You're going to need post workout nutrition to grow. Unless, you're cutting, this will be something you need to do.
 
I am not necessarily "cutting", but I do want to lose some fat in my waist-I am 5'11"284lbs.-getting pretty vascular in my arms, shoulders, traps and legs but I want to lose my gut-I'm already losing fat in my waist but I want to get the most out of this cycle, it's my first cycle in like 3 years---I have competed in the past but don't plan to anymore--

In that case, I would do something similar to what Mr. X posted. You need quality calories to fuel quality workouts and to change body comp.

Ya I put glutamine in mine too; forgot to throw that in there. I don't like creatine though.
