I'm surprised you'd say this because I was looking at this thread and figured that I'd eaten more than almost all of you! However, yes, I do need to add in a bit more in terms of fats etc. I've bumped up my protein quite a bit and got rid of a lot of the empty carbs I had been having before but I'm finding it more difficult to get the fat grams to a good level. I'm not actively trying to gain weight but I don't want to lose any either and I definitely want to add some muscle. I only joined a gym today so once I get into a regular workout routine I will add some more food in to compensate.

Hey, I got ya beat :) Have you ever heard of Flax seed oil? That's an easy way to get in some good fat. Try eating peanut butter w/ fruit (all-natural peanut butter). Good luck, and if you need any help just PM or e-mail me.

thanks :) I have heard of flax seed oil - it seems popular with a lot of ppl here - but have never tried it. I'll have a look for some in my local health food store and try it out. What's the best thing to disguise it with? I hear it doesn't taste too good.

some people muncu it with their protein shakes, i used to mix it with a lil milk and gulp it, but in the end it still tasted turd so i just took it straight

try hemp oil....it has omega 6 as well as 3 (flax only has omega 3), tastes nutty and nicer than flax....and it may be made illegal in america too due to paranoia about hemp :lmao:

perfectly legal here though :) better for u too :)

danielson----take a look at the contents of your multi-grain bread----its probably made up of almost all white flour(which is basically the same as eating wonder bread) if your going to eat any bread look for 100% whole wheat and even then look at the ingreds-to make sure it is 100% whole wheat-----just a suggestion...

noooo :bawling:

i eat that shit because 'they' told me it was low GI......and i like the nutty taste....mmmm....nuts....

i think its whole wheat, as it doesnt look like white flour at all. however i will endeavour to check, thanks for the warning :)

hemp oil?! okay, will look for that then :) Would they sell it in a store like Holland & Barratt? I was thinking of adding it to a vegetable stir fry ... or would that just make the whole stir fry taste like crap? Maybe I should just go with PB (trouble is, I like it too much and might just inhale the whole jar :D)

Damn Wombat, props to you...looks like you got your diet down. Does the vinegar take away the 'fishy' taste of tuna? I might have to try that...

yeah I used to think the same thing until I saw this thing on like nightline or something that was taking about all the scams out there. multi--grain was one of them----I went and checked the ingred---and sure enough it was like 85% white flour----But that shit sure does taste good:)

any health food store would have it :) or should have it

if you heat any of these omega rich ols, the heat destroys a lot of the good fats meaning no good fat for you. plus they cost a lot more than normal oil so its probably not advisable :) use olive oil if ui want, and just take the hemp on its own.

im told it tastes great on salads, if u like salads

try both :) peanut butter is good :p

I've been hitting this for about 4 weeks now---I have never brought my protein as high as this and I am liking it. I will do this for 2-3 days then drop the fats out for a day and bring the carbs up to 400-500 for that same day, then repeat---I'm really excited about this diet because I have been clean for about 6 months now (shoulder problems)and right now I am as big as i have been in over 2 years(alittle more bodyfat then I want) but with this diet and a massive cycle coming up, i feel i will bring my body to a new level-----

As far as the fishy smell, I use a lot of hot sauce(lower sodium type) here and there----I also found this stuff called Nayonaise(at Herny's market, i lover that place)-----its soy based with silken tofu has only 3.5 grams of fat--115 mg sodium--1 gm carb and 0 sugars

Thanx for the suggestions!! I've been to Henry's a few times...but they don't have a big selection of meats!!! Where do you get your chicken breasts in the San Diego Area? I usually just buy a 4lb bag @ Vans for like $10.

BTW: Good luck w/ your cycle.

The best place to get it, is Albertson's(you wouldn't think so because a lot of there stuff is expensive) but Last year I dieted down real low 5-6% and chicken breast was all I really ate for protein. After finding out the hard way that most of the bagged chix from vons or Ralphs contained a ton of sodium. I had to re-think my protein intake(because at that time sodium was a factor for getting my bodyfat to where I wanted it. But if sodium isn't a factor that bagged chix is ok(excepted most of them are thin little breast) Albertson's has boneless-skinless- chicken on sale almost every week at anywhere between 1.60 a pound to 1.90 a pound(buy it at the deli)----My wife just bought 40 pounds sunday and paid 1.60 at the deli---this is the best chicken I found for the price and the sodium content is low-------it should last us two weeks:)-----I always look in those flyers for sales----eggs I pay 99cents but if you don't look around, they go for over 2 bucks sometimes(fuck that) plus I get the shit tuna and drowned it in hot sauce or something----Rite Aid just had some shitty tuna 3/ dollar --I bought 60 cans----if I was dieting down real tight then I would go for the solid white but right now I just try to get down the shitty kind-----But I always buy my chicken at albertsons---they usually put it on sale every wednesday----That is all I really buy there----but you can save a ton..---buy the way Henrys usually has there all natty peanut butter for 1.99 ---thats the cheapest I have found it for--hope this helps-peace
