hehehheee
I have ALWAYS been aghast by female competitors who were all painted up and dressed up like tacky 2$ street-walkers whether live or in photo. I felt that it hurt all of us.
But now you see why sometimes women in these positions feel that it is almost a must. Good God - there was one promo we were doing where our booth was directly next to MUSCLE ELEGANCE! I was walking around during a break and I looked at the publication (I was totally ignorant to the seedier side of the fitness industry.) and lo and behold there was this mag that was nothing more than porn for bodybuilders! There were these women with AMAZING PHYSIQUES sitting there buck nekkid with their hoohas spread wide (again, no exaggeration) for the whole world to see. We aren't talking playboy here, we are talking raunchy porn!
I was HORRIFIED. Here I am, Bikinimom and Valentina Chepiga sitting in a booth next to THE MOST DISGUSTING publication associated with women and fitness. (Can you tell, we had a GREAT agent.
)
I have to say that of all the pics over all the years, Monica Brandt (just one name that always come to mind - she is also a lovely woman as well) was ALWAYS a class act. Never did I see her on all four with her legs spread and tongue hanging, no 2$ street walker outfits either. Always very sexy and feminine but NEVER taudry or cheap. Sadly, the same can not be said for the majority of women associated with fitness and I think it has less to do with taste and character and more to do with women doing things that they normally wouldnt do unless they felt almost as if they "had to" in order to succeed - plain misguided and mismanaged.
