waco was the cause that drove mcveigh to do what he did. he felt it was a government attack on it's own people so he felt he had to strike a blow at the government to retaliate. i don't agree with what he did but i see why he did it and he got what he deserved. those in waco did not, they were slaughtered by their lack of obedience to the government. get ready folks, the death squads are comeing. obey the government and keep your mouth shut or die.

We (Canada) had a great investigative report on it that showed all kinds of muzzle flashes at the rear of the house. The flashes were from outside shooting in and was during the fire. The rear was also the route of escape.

In simple Sheeple terms Waco was a building full of armed "Nuts!" that had no where to go! But being a boxed in nut does not give the Gov. the right to kill you! That's why I have a problem when mental patients off their meds are shot by police when they have a fucking butter knife fifty feet away from the cops! Throw a net over them, beat the fuck out of them with your clubs if you must, and lock them up in a mental hospital untill they get back on their meds! Again I'm still disgusted by the agents that did not stand up to their superiors to stop the madness! If life was fair they would burn in hell for their mistake! But life is not fair, that's why Sheeple exist in such huge numbers! To their credit those that can't sleep at night are letting their story be heard, even if it falls on mostly deaf Sheeple ears!

first, hindsight is 20/20...

second, atf could've grabbed koresh in town and
avoided this whole incident...

third, and most important, 51 days is significant...
lets be realistic, these people were not going to
the gulag, they would have been processed, made
bail and walked and the vast majority would not been charged
with anything...

the failure to surrender was indicative of koresh's control over these people and justified the government's decision to intervene to prevent a jonestownian event...

now, frac, before you go postal, i said "intervene"...

with the real and logical possiblility of mass suicide and the afore
mentioned presence of women and children, how should
the government responded???

i think the govt messed up by not grabbing koresh well
away from the compound...but once that opportunity was lost
what should the govt have done???

and you should know, the govt will never retreat from
such an encounter, you can rage all you want, but that
is never going to happen so treat that as a constant for
purposes of your response...

I'm NOT saying that what they did to those people is right, but they DO have some responsibility in what happened to them! They were given 51 days to surrender. 51 days is a looong time. you are jumping to the conclusion that the govt
went in with that motive and that i condone what
happened...

i dont...i just wanted frac's opinion on what the
govt should have done at the point that i mentioned...

i sense that a lot of folks here think that once the govt
makes one mistake, it is forbidden to take any further
action...

kinda of like, we sold some arms to the iraqis 10 years
ago, so now we cant enforce un resolutions...
