LOL no bro the point of the article was just to help explain why they didn't come out.... it was mainly due to their religious beliefs but also this possibility:

"While the FBI was claiming to be urging the Branch Davidians to surrender, FBI spokesperson Ricks announced on Friday, April 17th, that anyone who came out would be considered a threat to the BATF agents and would be shot"

Regardless of those facts though the main point of this has to do with the purposeful killing of the Branch Davidians by the government, which was unjustified and criminal... I am still confused as to why you focus on the 51 days factor. Remember these people did not harm anyone until the ATF started shooting at their door.....they had no warrant, or if they did, they wont' release it...so my guess is their goal was to provoke the Davidians but it turned sour on them and some agents died as well as some Davidians...

Now remember, the agents surrendered and left, with no ammo, they could have easily been gunned down by the Branch Davidians if that was their original intent (ie if they fired first) but they stopped firing and let the ATF agents carry their wounded away and leave.

I just downloaded that file Bwood, I will read it all...but you're making too big a deal of that article...that is not "my source" for what I wrote here...articles, a book, a documentary and some other stuff went into me forming my opinion...not that single article.....I just happened to be purusing that on the site that voodoo lady linked to so I decided to link it for you to read... No need to get all melodramatic with "you believe your sources I'll believe mine."

- what was the reason(s) for the ATF's first raid ?

- was Koresh a threat for his own people or not ?

- how did the big mess start (fire etc....) ?
