using bench press gloves all of the time

Hey
Will gloves help me to avoid tendonitis pain when I bench? Or you do think wearing gloves would be more uncomfortable and I will force my hands more when grabbing the bench or the bar?

Gloves will prevent the small muscles in your hand from getting stronger and fully developing. If your hands are sweaty and the bar is slipping, use chalk or liquid chalk if your gym does not allow chalk usage.

If you have tendonitis, look into a good warming muscle cream like rubA535 to apply to your wrists before your workout.

The problem with wrist wraps and things like that is they weaken the wrists because they don't allow the small muscles in the hands and wrists to get stronger. You end up worse off in the long run by using them.

Not really - they might add some confidence to you, but they are not a shield agains tendonitis. Sincerely, in spite of the fact that I completely agree with @muskate, I do use gloves, but for a different purpose - blisters. I do massaging from time to time to earn some cash, and those blisters will scratch the backs of my clients. So everyone has his own reasons to use gloves in the gym.

I would stay away from any supports like wraps and straps. These will not help with tendonitis. Muskate gives you a good idea with using a cream.

Does it happen always or just at very heavy weights? If the problem occurs at your maximum, you can try to develop your muscles by giving it time and rest and working your weights up. If it occurs just from an empty bar, then maybe I would consider using the gloves that you were referring to
