So I broke up with the current girl (Sarah) because she was hung up on the ex, then proceeded to ask her sister out. I sent her this Monday:

ME-So, since you are single now when are you and I gonna go out? I've seen the way you look at me when I'm around and I can tell there's some attraction there. To be honest, you were the real reason I wanted to come to Beth's ballgames. You are definitely my type of female.
I seriously doubt Sarah would even care...she's still desperately hung
up on that Dave guy.


I didn't hear from her, so this morning I sent this:

ME-I'm sorry if I offended you somehow with that email.
That certainly wasn't my intent.


Here's her reply:

HER-Oh, you didn't offend me-you actually made my day!! I just really didn't know how to respond to it. If you had never gone out with my sister-I'd love to hang out with you but it would be too weird for me.
You are a very attractive guy-very-but because you were with Sarah for a while, I just couldn't do that. I'm sorry, aap. Could we still be friends????


ME-lol, I knew you'd say that.
If I had known Sarah was still so obsessed and still talked to her ex
I would have declined going out with her.
I mean I have absolutely nothing against her, she's a great girl, but
it was just bad timing.
Sure I'd love to hang out some this summer as a group. Friends I guess
it'll have to be.

by the way, Did you tell Sarah that I was hitting on you? lol!

HER-NO-I didn't tell her anything like that Honestly, I didn't know she
still talked to that loser-which I don't agree with & I've told her
that-I guess that's why she never told me she still talked to him. I
know what you mean by bad timing I wanted her to go out with someone
nice & hot & she did

ME-You know when you said I made your day with that email?
Well you just made mine with that last comment

Hopefully we'll get to hang out sometime soon.
I may bug you via email from time to time because I get super bored
at work.


HER-Oh, that's fine with me-you're not bugging me at all

Nice. There is some competitive thing between sisters/friends that I have never figured out. But, I like it.

She would have hooked up with you, if it hadn't been a formal email that you directly state your intentions.

Next time you see her/bump into her keep it causal and have a few cocktails. That way she can convince her sister and herself that "It just happened"lol
