Actually, I'm studying shamanism, too, have been for over a year now. Can't get into it the way I'd like to because the more I experience the more I learn there's simply some things you can't read about, you have to be mentored. You need to be able to come back from a journey and say "Hey, found this ____ on/around/next to the patient, it doesn't belong there but no matter what I did I can't shift it, NOW WHAT?!"
Oh, and by the way, whoopeee you read a couple of books when you were a rebellious teenager. Good for you! I've probably forgotten more than you've ever even heard of, and you sure as hell don't know what it really means to live and practice as a Wiccan. There's a lot more information out there than there used to be, a lot more intensive information has been released in recent decades as certain individuals have moved on, and in the end, nobody who really knows anything is willing to claim to be an absolute expert in this lifestyle, not even the best of our elders, and honestly, I know some of the best ones out there.
