In a perfect world, yes. But not in this one I'm afraid. If the US didn't drop a few bombs every decade or so, your beloved land would hardly be enjoying all those civil liberties you're currently enjoying.

On paper my friend. The bad guys of the world know what would happen if say Toronto fell victim to terrorist attack. And it wouldn't be the Queen they'd have to worry about.
