Trying Dermacrine

I started the dermacrine on Monday. I'm beginning with three pumps in the morning. Haven't noticed anything the first two days but I'm also just ending my period and have been pretty tired.

Just to give an idea of where my strength is, this was my lifts today:

-Flat DB Press (40lb db's) 3 sets of 11, 11, and 10
-Incline DB Press (35lb db's) 3 sets of 11, 10, and 10
-Superset: Flat DB flyes/DB Presses (25lb db's):
Set 1--10 reps then 8 reps
Set 2--10 reps then 8 reps
Set 3--9 reps then 7 reps
-10 regular Pushups with 12lb weighted vest then 40 on my knees.

40 minutes on treadmill

This will give me a measuring stick for the rest of the month.

Meals today:
Meal 1: 3 egg whites and one whole egg made into a spinach omlete, 1/2 piece whole wheat toast with coffee.
Meal 2: Protein shake
Meal 3: brocoli Salad with tuna and glass of fat free milk
Meal 4: Whole wheat tuna wrap with spinach and a diet coke
Meal 5: Lightly breaded talapia with small serving of peas and water
Meal 6: An egg white pancake (virtually no carbs).

I've been dieting strict for the past 12 weeks. I still plan on eating right but I haven't been planning my meals this week, just eating what I'm in the mood for that is healthy.

Still nothing different yet, just posting lifts.

30 minutes moderate aerobic
3 sets of 20 reps on leg curl
5 sets of free weight squats (135lbs)--went deep for 10 reps each
3 sets of leg curls for 20 reps each
3 sets of calves to failure

Finally felt a "rush" Saturday. Don't know if how much of it was from the Derm or just me. Did shoulders

warmed up with lateral raises 3 sets of 10-20 reps (12lb dbs)
Did 5 sets of standing barbell military presses to the front. Used 65lbs and did 9, 9, 9, 8, and 8. Had previously used 60lbs.
finished with three sets of upright rows 45lbs for 10-12 reps.

On Sunday I noticed acne on my upper chest. I also was more "in the mood" Sunday night but that may have been from a nice mothers day.

Question: I have been applying at night after I shower. Would it be better to apply in the morning before I workout or does it matter. Also, could I apply 2 pumps in morning and 2 at night or should I do it all in one dose. Anybody??

2nd week of Dermacrine
Really not having a "feeling" that I'm pumped up or getting bigger. Do seem to be a tad stronger though.

Chest:

Flat DB's: 35lbsX12, 40lbsX11, 45lbsX7+1 with help, 45lbsX7+2 with help.
Incline DB's: 40lbsX7+1 with help, 40lbsX9+1 with help,40lbsX7+ 2with help. (long rest before set 2)
21 pushups with 12lb vest on then rested 90 seconds then did 13 pushups with 12lb vest.

Triceps:
50lb french press but only got 2 by myself and three more assisted.
40lb french press got 7 on my own and 2 with help
40lb french press got 6 on my own and 2 with help

Did three sets of unassisted dips 9,8,7.

Felt stronger but no "energetic feeling" that I've been expecting
Only side is still a little chest acne.
 
I am finishing up my last week of Dermacrine. I used 4 pumps/day applied every morning after shower. (I used 4 pumps because I am 6'2 @180lbs) I was not really impressed with Dermacrine until the last few days. It seems to take this a long time before you feel any effects. I will say it has made me very hungry!!!!!! I am still @ 180 (the weight I started with) however I can tell I have lost some inches in my waist and have definitely added some muscle. My muscles do feel "harder". I didn't notice an increase in my libido ( I think it was just the opposite!!!!) I am gong to take my final body fat #'s & weight in the morning and will post my results.

DHEA doesn't seem to be a quick acting steriod. It takes a while for it to really "hit" so to speak. Like Mack just mentioned I also noticed the most profound effects only after like 4 weeks, so probably the most effective cycle length would be 8 weeks.

becca applying it at night might be a good way to keep your levels constant around the clock, but I'd think there'd be increased risk of rubbing off the product while in bed.

Remember to apply on the delts and upper back only, as those are the areas of skin richest in the enzyme necessary to make the product effective.
 
Ok I took my final stats today:
175lbs @ 21% Body Fat.
Let me say this I did notice now @ 4 weeks that my throat has been kind of sore or horse like - I don't know if that is my vocal chords thickining and I have some darkened skin (not hairs) above my lip.
Other than that I don't have any other negatives to report.
I do feel really good and my muscle definition has improved a good deal. One other thing that last 1.5 weeks I have been sweating much more than usual.

Seems it takes longer for it to work or (kick in) with woman that is does with men. HMMMM RottenWillow knows more about this product when it comes to woman then I do.

I don't think the pre-applicaton shower thing is really important unless you tend to have particularly oily skin or have been sweating a lot since your last shower. I'm also a bedtime shower person, and applied it in the morning.

Yeah the sex drive boost definitely happened for me too, but only during the first cycle. The second one not so much, and the third, which was two years later, not at all. Steriods are wacky that way, but Needto could tell you more about that than me.
 
Had a long weekend, had to go to Alabama for a funeral (father of a friend). 7 hours there and 7 back can wear you out. (Grandmom took care of the kids thank goodness). Worked out yesterday but was tired so my poundages were a little down.

Chest:

DB presses: 40lb dumbbells 10 reps, 10 reps, 8 reps
Incline DB's: 35lb dumbbells 12 reps, 12 reps, 11 reps
DB flyes: 25lb dumbbells 14 reps, 12 reps, 9 reps
Pushups: 19 first set and 13 second set.

Was suppose to do triceps but was too tired. (Did spin class before I worked out). Still was able to apply the Derm while I was gone and did feel what I would call an energy rush during the weekend. Also was definitely more "in the mood."

Nothing on Monday, but as I said, I was pooped.

Tuesday my entire body ached. Almost flu like symtoms without the fever or stuffed up head. Not sure if this is from the Derm or not. Workout was okay but I definitely had a different feeling Tuesday. Working out legs today so I'll see if I feel better today.

Back:

Barbell rows: 70lbs of 15 reps, 13 reps, and 12 reps.
Seated Cable rows: 70lbs on the stack 15 reps, 15 reps, 14 reps
Wide Pulldowns: 70lbs on the stack 11 reps, 9 reps, 8 reps
Free weight deadlifts: 70lbs of 15 reps, 12 reps, 11 reps.

20 minutes of treadmill after and I was spent...still recovering from weekend travel but boy my body aches.

Took a couple of days off--thanks for the suggestion willow-- and felt great this morning. Usually don't work out this early but was up and full of coffee. First day I felt stronger. Worked out with husband(back) we usually do a 2-1 pullup contest and he usually does about 12 and I do 5-6. This morning he did 13 and I did 9 by myself and three with help. We did three more sets and I got 9, 10, and 8. I haven't done pullups in about 12 weeks but I had never done more than 7 before. (By the way my husband had to fix breakfast).

Also did four sets of 90lbs for free weight deadlifts. Usually get 5-6 but today I got 6, 9, 10, and 9. Just a great workout. The only difference in my application is I started putting it on in the morning last week. I beleive it was making me restless at night.

It definitely can. I had to take a half a Unison the first few weeks still my brain finally acclamated to the jumbo amounts of DHEA. Even taking it first thing in the morning it'll cause sleep disturbance. Glad you're feeling better!
 
I have felt great during workouts this week. Haven't noticed any size gains and only minimal strength gains, but I do feel good.

Yesterday Shoulders:

3 sets of DB lat raises: 15lb dumbbells 12, 12, 11
5 sets of standing barbell
shoulder presses: 55lbs 5, 5, 5, 5, 4
3 sets of seated db front
raises: 12.5lb dumbbells 15, 15, 15

45 minutes on stair climber.....my butt hurts.

Saturday was a good day. Did Back Friday and had an average workout, a little rushed. Did shoulders Saturday and I was feeling good.

3 sets of lat raises with 12lb dumbbells 17, 18, 16 reos
5 sets if standing barbell presses:
45lbs for 15 repd
55lbs for 9 reps (previous best was 6 reps).
60lbs for 7 reps (most weigth I ever tried)
60lbs for 6 reps
60lbs for 7 reps

The supersetted 12lb dumbbell lat raise with db presses for 3 sets. 12/22 first set
11/20 second set
10/23 third set

Last exercise was barbell shrugs supersetted with db reverse flyes for four sets. Used 135lbs on shrugs and 12lb db's on reverse flyes.

Just felt good today. Not like a caffiene rush, just a good feeling.

Leg Day,

I tried to squat heavy today. I hadn't gone above 165lbs in 3 months. Walked 30 minutes and then warmed up the thighs on the leg extension.

Free bar squat:
Set 1 135lbs for 12 reps
Set 2 185lbs 2 reps on my own and 4 with minimal help
Set 3 185lbs 3 reps on my own and 3 with minimal help
Set 4 185lbs 3 reps on my own, 2 with minimal help, 2 with a good bit of assistance.
Set 5 135lbs for 10 reps

I felt didn't especially feel stronger but I felt confident. Sometimes I might have doubts when I start squating heavy. Yesterday I was focused and had little doubt. (It didn't hurt that I had a nice spot...if you know what I mean).

Next I did 4 sets of Hack Squats. 3 sets in the 8-12 range and lowered the weight for a set of 24.

I followed that with 3 sets of walking lunges holding the 25lb dumbbells--10 per leg.

I then did 4 sets of heavy leg extensions. I usually put the pin at 80 for 10-12 reps but I put it at 95 and did 9, 8, and 10 reps. I finished with a light set of 20 reps

I closed with 5 sets of calves. Supersetted seated with standing calf raises. I definitely need to get my calves up to par with the rest of my legs.

So far what I am getting from the dercamine is more focus and a little more energy. I can say that I am a little stronger but I am working out harder. No real size increases that I can speak of. Been almost 4 weeks.

Felt great yesterday, most energy I've had since using the dermacrine. (Maybe because school is finally out for the kids).

Finished chest and went ahead and did biceps as well.

Chest: Flat bench: Warmup with 25lbd db's for 20 reps
Five sets using 45lb db's. Set 1--6 reps + 2 with spot
Set 2--7 reps + 2 with spot
Set 3--6 reps + 2 with spot
Set 4--6 reps + 3 with spot
Set 5--6 reps + 2 with spot

3 sets of cable flyes for 10-12 reps each
3 sets of pushups: 23, 26, 19

Biceps: 3 sets of seated db curls using 25lb db's. 13, 12, 14
Standing barbell curls, 50lbs: Set 1--6 reps + 4 with spot
50lbs Set 2--5 reps + 4 with spot
40lbs Set 3--13 reps + 3 with spot

2 sets of 21's using the 30lb barbell. Suppose to do a third but my arms were rubber.

Overall, best day so far using the dermacrine.

Last workout was solid. Hit my back hard. My biceps and back are where I would like to add muscle.

3 sets of wide grip pullups. 5 reps on my own each set and added 3, 4, and 3 additional reps with a spot

3 sets seated cable rows: stack on 50 for 9, 11, 10 reps

3 sets reverse hammar pulldowns. put 45's on each side and did reps of 11, 11, 12

3 sets of dumbbell rows using the 35lb db. did sets of 9, 12, 10

3 sets of wide pulldowns, stack on 35 for sets of 13, 10, 7 (died)

walked for 45 minutes

After some reflection, I think Dermacrine would be a great addition to a stack since it really does a good job of providing exceptional mental drive and physical energy, but looks like very little if any actual muscle building effect. Combine it with something better at encouraging muscle mass development and that'd be a great combo.

That was my same thought after using the Dermacrine. I liked it but didn't gain the mass like I wanted.
 
So far I agree with both of you. I guess I had too high expectations. What I do see is I have better mental focus, a little more energy/motivation (Don't put on at night) and I feel a little harder. No size increases or major strength increases.

Friday--shoulders

lying external rotations with 5 lb db--3 sets of 10-12
Lat raises with 12 lb db's 3 sets for 12-15 reps
seated db presses 5 sets with 30lb dbs--8,9,8,7,9 on my own plus two additional with a spot.
front raises with 25lb plate 3 sets of 12-15
1 set standing db presses with 15lb db for 33 reps.
6 sets of barbell shrugs with 135lbs for 10-15 reps.

walked interval hills for 35 minutes.

good day, felt great. Just walked 45 minutes on saturday and took Sunday off.

DB kickbacks 3 sets with 12lbs for 15, 16, 13.

Assisted dips 1 set for 11 reps.

Walked for 30 minutes

Wow girl you do a lot of tri work. Since I believe your primary goal is to add muscle mass I'm wondering if you've experimented with less volume per muscle group? Even with the cycle I'm on now, I wouldn't be able to add muscle with that much work.

For instance my current chest/tri work looks like this:

Workout 1: (after 4 days rest)
Pecdeck Flyes, 1 set, 8-10 full reps to failure, plus partials.
[straight to bench, no rest]
Flat barbell bench, 2 sets, 8-11 reps to failure, plus 2-3 rest/pause reps after last regular rep. (medium to slow bar speed, pause at chest, no lockout)

Workout 2: (after 3 days rest)
Flat barbell bench, 2 sets, about 5-8% lighter weight to failure, 8-12 reps, no rest/pause reps. (medium bar speed, pause, no lockout)

That's it. No isolation work on tris at all since they are already getting hit pretty hard by bench and by OHP. My arms have gone up three-quarters of an inch in 5 weeks doing this.

I had been doing about 6-8 sets for tris and bis so I changed it up for May and June just to see how some volume works. I will take a couple of vacations in July and take some much needed time off.

Did legs yesterday and getting ready to head to the gym for shoulders. Felt a little stronger yesterday.

3 sets of leg extensios 20-25 reps to warm up legs

Squats: Set 1: 135lbs for 12 reps
Set 2: 185lbs 3 reps then added 3 reps with help/spot
Set 3: 185lbs 3 reps then added 4 reps with help/spot
Set 4: 185lbs 4 reps then added 2 reps with help/spot
Set 5: 135lbs 10 reps then added 3 reps with help/spot

Hack Squat: Put 45's on each side and did 7 reps and then 6 reps. For my 3rd set put 25's on each side and did 16 reps

Sumo Squat: Held the 45lbs dumbbell and did 3 sets of 20 reps. Went slow and deep. (sounds erotic)

Standing leg curls: 3 sets of 15 reps per leg

One giant drop set of leg extensions: Quads were on fire

5 sets of calves.

I walked 30 minutes before I worked out. I usually do aerobic after I work out but on leg days I do it before and I just walk.

Today was a very good day.

Thursday was probably the first day that I truly felt stronger from the dermacrine. It was hard to tell with slight strength increases before but there was a noticable difference yesterday. I did standing shoulder presses for 10-12 reps with 55lbs and 9 reps with 60lbs. I just felt great. Been on the dermacrine for about 6 weeks and bottle is almost empty. The rest of the workout was great. Felt a lot of endurance combined with strength. No real size gains though.

With lateral raises, front raises, shrugs and reverse flyes I didn't do more weight but I was up about 3-4 reps for each, doing 12-15 where I had been in the 8-12 range with that weight

You know most AAS either do nothing at all for energy or actually impair energy, whereas this topical DHEA product does a lot for energy, and does it without the highs and crashes you get from stims. I think PP should market Dermacrine as an alternative to conventional workout stimulants.
 
I agree, after 7 weeks I've seen less pure strength and size gains and more of an increase in energy and mental focus. One thing I had to learn the first few weeks was timing. For me putting it on in the morning (maybe an hour or two before workouts) was the best.

Took your advice on the arms and toned back a little. I had been doing some volume for the past 6 weeks and my arms were burned out.

Yesterday, Chest and Triceps

warmup on incline db press 30lbs for 12 reps
Set 1 40lb db's for 11 reps
Set 2 40lb db's for 12 reps
Set 3 40lb db's for 11 reps

Flat db flyes supersetted with flat db presses.
Set 1 25lb db's--10 flyes and 8 presses
Set 2 25lb db's--8 flyes and 8 presses
Set 3 25lb db'd--9 flyes and 7 presses

Hammer Machine Chest Press--just trying something different
3 sets using 35lb plate on each side of 12, 13, 14

Triceps:
3 sets of unassisted dips. Did 10 reps, 9 reps, and 11 reps.
(Those are good numbers for me)

Lying tricep extensions using 20lb db's supersetted with db closegrip presses.
Set 1 did 10 lying extensions and 9 presses
Set 2 did 8 lying extensions and 8 presses
Set 3 did 7 lying extensions and 10 presses

(Very good numbers on the lying extensions using 40lbs)

This was a good day because I had a lot of energy. I was rested and I thing I was motivated because I was changing things up a little. Almost done with bottle, should be able to squeeze about 2 or 3 more days.

Read Anita Ramsey's journal before I worked out. Very inspiring. Back and Biceps today.

2 sets of wide pullups. Did 5 and 6 then added 3 more each time with help from a spot.

2 sets if close grip pullups. Did 6 and 8 and added 2 and 3 with help from a spot.

Supersetted wide pulldowns and seated cable rows. Used 70lbs for each.
Set 1--8 pulldowns and 9 rows
Set 2--8 pulldowns and 9 rows
Set 3--9 pulldowns and 10 rows

Supersetted barbell rows (65) and one-armed db rows (35)
Set 1 did 10 reps of each
Set 2 did 10 reps of barbells and 9 reps each arm of db's

Hammer machine reverse pulldowns (45's on each side)
Did 2 sets of 10 reps

Biceps: 3 sets of barbell curls with 50lbs. Got 6 reps each time then added 3 reps with help from spot

Seated alt. db curls. Used 25lb db's and got 8 reps per arm for 3 sets.


Felt rested today and really felt like I worked my back. Ran for 35 minutes after. Should have done abs but I was beat after 2 hours in the gym.

Good question. I just finished the bottle Thursday. I started May 4th so that was about 8 weeks. My first period at the end of May was fairly normal except it was a little lighter than normal. I just started my period again yesterday. I am usually pretty regular about when I start but it is four days early this month. Other than that it is normal. I've never done actual AAS but I have done two cycles of Bold 200 by iforce. While taking the Bold my period was very late and I skipped it once. I would also have light bleeding when I wasn't menstrating. So while I was a little irregular on the dermacrine it wasn't anything drastic. You might want to check with Willow, I know she has run the dermacrine as well and can give you even more information. My next post is going to be my conclusion about using the derm.

Well I am finally finished with the bottle. I squeezed the last drop out Thursday. I will say this, the delivery system gets every drop out. I hate throwing away lotion bottles with product still left. My last workout was legs:


Started by walking 30 minutes

3 sets of leg extension. Put stack on 50 and did ,50 reps, rest 45 seconds, 30 reps rest 45 seconds, 20 reps. This definitely wakes up the quads.

Did 3 sets of squats using the smith machine. Put a 45 on each side which is 105lb and did 3 sets of 20 deep squats.

The leg press machine is finally fixed so I did some heavy work on it. I put 3 plates on each side (6 total) and did 6 reps on my own and 4 reps pushing on my knees for 3 sets.

I did 3 sets of hack squats adding 50lbs to the rack. Did reps of 18, 20, and 19. My quads are burning.

Added sumo squats to work on my butt. Held a 45lb db and did 3 sets of 20.

Finished with 3 giant sets of leg extensions/leg curls/calves.
Used lighter weights and did 20reps for each exercise.

After this I hobbled home.

This workout demonstrates what I got from the dermacrine. I was focused and had energy. I didn't want to leave the gym so I added a few sets to what I had planned on doing.

My initial conclusion about the dermacrine.

I used 3-4 pumps a day for almost 8 weeks. The most immediate effect was a feeling of focus and energy. I found out quickly not to put it on at night or I would have a restless nights sleep. As for strength increases they were very slow and gradual, but I did get stronger. Some of this might be because of better diet and working out harder, but I believe the product also increased my strength. Example: I was getting 5-7 reps on the DB bench press using the 45lb dumbbells when I started. Yesterday I got 10 reps unassisted and then 8 and 9 the next two sets.
These were personal best. You need to be patient though, it was about 5 weeks in before I really noticed any difference in my strength. I've actually felt strongest this week now that I'm done with the bottle.

As for size, I did not see any size increases. In fact, my arms were 12.375 and 12.125 when I started and now they are 12.25 and 12 inches. I believe part of this is because I stopped using NO when I started the dermacrine and also I feel the dermacrine actually helped lean me up. With more energy I was doing more cardio and lost a little bodyfat. I don't know if this is normal but it is what happened to me.

As for female sides, I experienced little. No voice change or sensations in my privates, a little chest/back acne but not much more than normal, and my period was fairly normal (though I am currently heavier than normal).

My initial conclusion is that this product is a good product if you know what to expect. If your diet and workout are on track then the dermacrine will give you focus and energy. It will also give you some strength gains but you must be patient--4-6 weeks before I noticed. It will not increase your muscle size.

I hope this helps, especially any ladies considering the product. It is a little pricey but I bought two during the bogo sale so I am going to try it again in about 6-8 weeks.

I will probably add another post in about 7-10 days to comment on any results/sides I might still be feeling.

IME, the "boost" from it takes about 4-6 days to fully diminish. 10 days probably would be an ideal time for a follow-up post. :)
 
I've been on vacation for a week and now that you mention it I have not. Looked for a package outside or a notice but didn't see one. I'm sure it will arrive soon. Thanks for the great service.

As for my final analysis of the dermacrine. I like it. On a scale of 10 I would give it a 7. It isn't a magic ointment that turns you into superman (woman), but it does help. No real size gains but energy, focus, and some strength. Two weeks after finishing my bottle I miss it. The extra boost I felt was nice. I will use my second bottle starting at the end of August.
