Just wanted to take a vote on everyone's training while they are cutting. Some people keep lifting heavy like Craig Titus and some people go down and perform higher reps. Alot of people say that you risk injury when you diet and lift heavy. What is everyone's opinion on this?
My training when cutting is no different to when i'm not cutting, only when/if i incorporate cardio in i usually stop myself progressing on leg exercises so i don;t get sore from them.
I train as heavy and as Intense as I can regardless of dieting or not. The muscles still need to be pushed regardless. Hir reps and low weights is a waste of time.
BTW, are you using any AS's now or have you in the past?
when I cut, I keep lifting heavy but change up some of the excercises in order to work on tone and shape (i.e. tri pulldowns with rope, hammer curl, flies, etc . . )
I used 2 shots of depot a week only for 2 months 3 years ago. Now I dont train to be big so there is no need for it. I sure liked the feeling I had when I took it though.
I advise going lower volume when cutting, though. Your body's ability to repair is compromised when you're at a caloric deficit, so even though you should still work it hard, don't kill yourself. It's easier to overtrain when you're eating less.
