Training the abs with resistence?

I use about 140 for mine, and it does help on the up eccentric if you are heavier, pills is right it is a gm type motion but it is the exact antagonist muscles that are working, so it is like hitting the eccentric portion of a gm w/ weight...I feel they are a much more functional lift that their cousin kneeling cable crunches.

The exercise I was doing is this (and it may not be 200lbs but it says 190 at the end of the stack and I add one more thing on it that is supposedly 10lbs):

I'm familiar...it's alot easier. And like you said, I could do them all day long. Try the standing ones some time and tell me what you think. :D
