Today's the day...

Damn....You must have a high "tolly" for pain!

You don't feel like you have a 400 lb. elephant sittin on your chest right now????? Usually takes a few days before the average person can sit up let alone type. You are one tough cookie, Mrs. P!

Get well soon!

I'm retaining a ton of water...I'm swollen from head to toe, litterally. Is this normal? I would bet I'm at least 10 lbs heavier today than I was yesterday morning. My stomach's all distended too...hubby's at the store now picking up something to help me move my bowels. I've been walking around a lot and drinking water, but the only thing I could fit in my stomach today was a piece of toast and part of a packaged fruit cup. I'm feeling very full and it's nearly 1:00pm. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

Well you are holding water. Your body has suffered a trauma (anethesia, cutting, foreign matter inserted etc)....you are going to hold water.

I remember after my csection, the scale obsessed Newgirl had the nerve to deliver a almost 9 lb baby.....go home and step on the scale (yes I am obsessed)...and much to my chagrin, I had not lost an ounce of my 28.5 pounds...after delivery aforementioned 9lber, and afterbirth etc!

You are holding water, and I suspect very soon you will dump it. But be careful MrsPuddles -- I was told that my bowels needed to move naturally as it was a sign that my body was getting back to normal and was only allowed to take Phillips Milk of Magnesia (BLECH) after a week post op....not sure what your post op instructions are but I would check to be certain you can take some sort of laxative.

The nurse told me to take a stool softener, no laxatives since I normally have IBS. I also had a little split pea soup...hoping that helps get things moving along! Glad to hear that water retention post-op is normal, I was a little concerned. To add fuel to the fire, my monthly bloat is due to start up soon too...great timing!

Yes, I tend to have a high tollerance to pain. I did over 18 hrs. of induced labor w/o any meds...I didn't make a sound either. Finally I accepted the medication and my daughter was born in 15 minutes as it relaxed me and I finally dialated. Come to think of it, I left the hospital weighing more than when I went in 5 days earlier. Water retention bites! At least I don't see any bruising. :)

MrsP, if you do a search you will find that I had the same problem after my surgery. I had a lot of water retention and constipation. I had my surgery on a monday and I was back at the Gym by Friday, walking of course. I was frustrated like hell because of the fluid. It took a little while but I did get back to normal.

Good luck

No kidding.....Hmmmmmm.....That explains why mine disappear everytime I get punched in the face from some asshole in the bars I bounce at...and all this time I thought I was a getting younger....heh heh heh

Good luck with the healing babe......

Peace,

Ranger

I'm so HAPPY!!! I've been in the bathroom for the last half hour, standing in front of that mirror that I hated for so long, just looking and massaging them inbetween bouts of tears of joy. I feel so relieved now that I can actually see and feel the transformation. My boobs are actually perky for the first time in my life!!!

The incisions look like there will be minimal scaring...this doctor did an excellent job! My nipples are extreemly sensitive which is good...we were worried that the nerves could be damaged with the relocation of them. The implants are of course sitting high under the muscle, but with time and massage, they'll drop down to a more natural look. The doctor had a little trouble getting the right side one in under the muscle which is why I'm in so much more pain on that side, but damn...it's all worth it!!!

My husband is quite happy too. He smiled as soon as the dressings were removed and I could tell how pleased he was with the doctor's work. I couldn't see...there wasn't a full sized mirror in the room, just a hand held which I didn't even both with...I was anxious to get home to the mirror I hated for so long and get a good look. He helped me on with my bra and we were out of there pretty quickly, we got home and I stood there in front of the mirror in amazement, looking at them from the front, from side to side, bent over a little, standing back up...I still can't believe these are MY breasts. Damn tears keep coming as I type. I'm just so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
