Today's the day...

Hey girl! You are well on your way! I had mine done the same way as yours and just a little bit smaller (only one "D"). After about a month you will be pretty much back to normal. I found some bras that were wireless & cut on the "cup" part like a sports bra but had the straps & stuff like a normal bra so I could wear those for work. The part I loved the best was beign able to NOT wear a bra for going out!

I lost some sensitivity, but generally I was never that sensitive there anyway. The two things that took the longest to get past were the occassionally shooting pains because the nerve endings are regenerating, but that drops way down after the first month as well. The other was the sore muscles when I started my chest workouts again. I had my girls done in mid Jan and had started training for a competition in April, so give it a few months and then just slowly start into the chest training. It hurts because the muscles are stretched tight across the implants and it takes a little to get them "comfortable". But it does happen. Another weird thing is that when I was doing my back workout, occassionally I would get involuntary twitches in my boobs. You can tell like when you are on the last few reps and you are getting tired. If you start losing form a little and your chest muscles try to compensate, you get the weird twitches. But its still all worth it.

For the bruising & discoloration, you might consider getting some Arnica -- they are little white pellets that they should have at your local health food store.

I dont' remember if you said explicitly that you had taken some painkillers -- I used them for 4 days before I could switch over to Extra strength Tylenol. The annoyance was about a week & a 1/2 later I woke just sort of generally depressed about things --- it was the "detoxing" from the painkillers. It lasted about 5 days. So, if all of a sudden you start getting bummed out, its probably just from the meds and it will pass quickly.

Otherwise, bounce on girl!

I gotta laugh at bra shopping now...first of all, I don't NEED one! I went last night and picked up a few sports bras and then I saw these pretty stretchy cammisoles which I could never wear before due to their lack of support...well...now I have one and I won't need to have the irritation of bra straps pressing down on my shoulders anymore! I will wear the sports bras to the gym, but since I live in Florida, I can get away with wearing the tank tops with shelf bras in them for most of my casual wardrobe now! Even at work, if I just slip a jacket on top, I'm all set. Before the lift, I had to wear a bra with my tank tops so I'm just about the happiest I've been since my daughter was born. :rainbow:

Yes, I am on pain meds...vicodin which I know causes constipation, but normally it just kinda helps lessen my IBS symptoms. I got sugar-free metamucill last night and will be using that to help. But one cup of that and I've got NO room for food. I'm still having difficulty with how much I can put in my stomach at one time and there's no way I can eat as often as I should...I'm trying my best though. I'm not getting enough nutrition which I hope passes soon. I did get hungry when I was up at 4 this morning and had a little bowl of raisin bran. The last thing I had before that was at 7pm, a bowl of fresh spinach and the rest of my meat from lunch but I was stuffed. I keep drinking the water, but I am peeing it right out so I know I'm not dehydrated at all.

I didn't realize how long it would be before I could start back in at the gym. I know there's no way I'll be in there for serious leg work next week, but maybe I can take it light...I'll see. Right now I'm getting wiped out just from taking a leisurely walk around my neighborhood. God...I feel so feble! I couldn't tie my own sneakers yesterday either. Good thing I've got a sweet daughter who's home all next week to help me out. :)

2 weeks and 3 days post-op...

Overall they're doing well, but last Friday I began developing an infection. I had a lowgrade fever, but no extraordinary pain until late that night when we attempted the massaging...hubby gave me 2 squeezes and I was crying. We stopped. By Easter day my left breast was quite sore and red and I was exhausted. Monday morning after my shower one section of the tape that was over the incisions had lifted and I saw some infection so I called the doc and got into the doctor after work. I'm now on Cipro and treating the two spots where the sutures openned with hydro. peroxide. All of the tapes are removed and the incisions are healing nicely otherwise! Tonight we're gonna try starting up the massage again. The implants have dropped a little, but since we stopped massage they haven't really moved. A lot of the swelling has gone down, but not completely. I'm still bruised on the undersides. I haven't gone back to the gym yet, but my diet has been going nicely now that I can eat again. I'm very cautious of what I eat especially since I'm not burning many callories right now. I got on the scale last night and I'm quite pleased...down a few more lbs! I'm sure I've lost some muscle but I can tell by the way my clothes fit, by the leaner appearance of my forearms, and the rings on my fingers being looser than ever, that it's a decent fat loss going on as well! I'm also still not sleeping well. I'm still taking pain meds. Someone said I'm supposed to name them...we've named the left one Squeaky...when we do the massage it squeaks like a doggie chew toy! LOL

My husband's been an angel, helping me out around the house, working extra hours since I'm not up to working much in the office (we work together), and doing more of the driving for errands and childcare. I'm envious that he's been able to go to the gym and I can't!

Hmmm....anything else? LOL I'm sure there is, but that's pleanty for now. :)
