is there really anything left to be said, that doesn't involve serious repetition? everything gets old, even amusements like you. sure, you'll get a few dumbasses to keep helping you in the same way, over and over. but as for the rest...well, the boy who cried wolf ain't got shit on you. no more useful advice, or kind attention.

if you really believe that the pursuit of girls is the only worthwhile thing this world has to offer, then you are worthless. you are a complete nothing. even less than an alter, which you probably are.

What I am wondering then is what does this advice mean? It sounds like some folks, like velvett think that I shouldnt go around asking out girls, but I should rather just not think about girls, and that something will happen naturally in time maybe.

You should be more comfortable with being you and what you have to offer, if you were already you'd be confident enough to ask girls out and be able to handle any unexpected outcome. (JMO)

You can think and ask all you want but you are so obsessed with it that girls will not see you, your interest, they will only see your somewhat irrational (please don't take that as hurtful - I really would like to see you overcome this) and desparate view of needing a woman in your life. If you really feel that you are up to it, you could practice asking girls out some you can deal with an interested girl and an uninterested girl.

It's very much like women near or in their 30's that become obsessed about getting married and making babies. They will hook up with any man that is will and able regardless of their compatibility.

Okay, so how about if I stop analyzing and shit, and just start asking girls out?

goldendelicious, your advice is good and all, but just remember:
I wont change myself in order to make others like me more, but I will change myself in order to make myself more pleasing to others. I think it is good to make this distinction.
Its good to be accomodating.

Some people dont have much to offer socially (like me) other people do have a lot to offer socially.

I will try to make friends, as I am sure that God did not just put me in this Earth to live in a shack and analyze everything about life.

I think one important thing for me to keep in mind though is to avoid unwelcoming crowds, like what you mentioned above. Some times I am persistent and invite myself places, and that isnt a good thing.

In any case though, I think I still definately need to take risks, and ask out girls.

Here's basically what I think:

No matter how many friends I have, no matter how fun to be around I am, or no matter how many hobbies I have, or clubs I am in, or goodlooking I am, etc. etc. etc.
--None of it will matter if I dont learn to take any risks and ask some girls out every now and then.

You have to make opportunity happen. It doesnt just come to you.

In the post you'll probably mention how you don't want to change for girls, and how there is nothing more to life than getting girls etc. Why do I know this because this is like the 2nd freaking almost identical post on the same subject in like 4 days. I'm a laid back guy, a little too laid back at times, but you seriously are blowing my freaking mind. I don't understand how you can exist. I mean seriously.
