Timur Taimazov Olylifter clip

man Timur Taimazov is strange, he looks like he hardly uses any effort when lifting but the weights move. Looks really slow and lazy for some reason.

Set the world record in the old 108kg class in 1996 Olympic games so has strength and power

The 1996 Ironmind tape shows him doing a light workout at the end of the tape.
clip of him doing a light workout at the Alanta olympics training hall - where won Gold and set that world record clean and jerk
looks so damn casual, those weights would bury me!
Wish I had that fluidity - sigh - looks like just the bar there.

training for many years with the best coaching etc, that's why he wins a gold medal.

Makes 330lbs look like my 155lbs :)

You missed out, I posted a lot more clips before of various lifters who are much faster and more explosive looking

Man, I'm getting frustrated, I just don't get any better, I see these guys and how smooth and fluid they are, and want myself to look like that in a hurry!

Thanks for posting the clip. From Taimazov's height, looks like he was made for strongman events. He actually appears skinny at 238Lbs.

I like the way he does high pulls. In the 'old' days, coaches had their lifters bringing the bar up to their chins which usually meant rebending their knees to lower down to the bar (as seen on the video of the Chinese kids training that you posted earlier.) Generally most European and now US coaches (Dragomir's influence) have their athletes perform them like Taimazov which does a much better job at developing the upper back, traps and shoulders.

That was crazy. No effort at all on those cleans. Smoother than Dimas's clean - but not the same snap on the Jerk.

Still - f'in ridiculous.

Well all these weights he used are like 60% of his PRs, he can powersnatch over 150kg alone :)

In the Olympic games in 1996 he lifted 429 3/4 pounds in the snatch, but he won the gold medal by with 501.5 lbs on his first clean-and-jerk. later set a world record of 520 1/4 pounds, beating his own record of 519 pounds.

So yeah 150kg 330lbs is nothing for him, 63% of 520lbs. That's a very easy powerclean for him!

Wonder how much he can fullsquat, 330lbs he used here must be extremely light for him....
If he can clean and jerk 500+lbs then his fullsquat must be in the 700s at least.

That is DAMN smooth...
right now i can clean 245X5 but hell...i am just beating the crap out of it...i agree..it makes me wanna do it just like that...wow

What are his stats? Ht? Wt...

I think i might widen my arms out on my cleans...so i can work on my catch...his looks extremely easy...i just can;t seem to get my elbows up...when i have my arms narrow...maybe going wider would help...
