Tilapia = Amazing

Kabeetz

Banned
Bought some fresh Tilapia from Costco. I hate fish but I've heard such good things about it and how it doesn't taste "fishy".

5 minutes a side at a medium heat, olive oil and oregano... would've added some lemon if I had. Unbelievable taste. Tremendous protein source as well..

Two of them weighed 9 ounces which equaled:

243 cals, 5gs fat, 51gs protein, plus olive oil stats.

Highly recommended.

yes bro tilapia is off the chain. pales taste wise to fishes like grouper or orange roughy but definately a good value.

Tilapia is good served over a bed of sauteed spinach & topped with salsa....YUM!!

I second that. Even better is blackened grouper, but grouper isn't as easy to find...at least not for me.
real grouper mi fren is another fish on the endangered list
most times what you are buying is nile perch
grouper is a BIG fish
a really big fish
tasty as hell but yea that is why it is hard to find

Well that explains it. I've gotten vietnam grouper when I lived in PA, and Florida grouper when I vacationed there in the past. I assumed the grouper in FL was fresh caught...at least thats what the restaurant had said.

So the stuff I got in PA was probably nile perch? Interesting...it was good nonetheless, but not quite like what I had in FL.
