This whole Atkins thing is OverExposed

milwaukee's beast, you must be lightheaded all day. i tried knocking out carbs once and it suckedeth. i felt high

It has its days.....like today...I feel like that...no focus. But others I feel great....yesterday was good...great workout. I think the good days outnumber the bad though.

This diet just works so well for me......I think it is because it is "set"....meaning I know what I can and can't have. Whereas "cutting back" starts out good, but then it leads to, "I've done good today, so I'll have one cookie" and I end up having 6. There is a guy on EF, Xizor, that had great results on the diet.....got shredded and he started off with alot of localized BF.....it inspired me to give the diet another shot. I had great results the first time around. PLus I wanted to lean up before the cruise.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do after the cruise. I may go the high pro/mod carb-fat route.......carbs coming from MRP's, oatmeal, salads, and rice.

Well I'm sure that exactly answered your questions...thanks for listening.

I have to stay around 75 grams; any less and i'm miserable....any more and I'm out of ketosis.

Really I want to try that stuff but I am so skeptical maybe I will see what it does to me.

My wife is also on it as well as countless other people I know. All use the bars and have these wraps.......all remain in ketosis.

Do you use r-ala?

It's funny....I come to EF and always research diet info and feel so unaware of some things.....but when it comes to the people around me, they consider me a diet guru.

I rotate my carbs depending on my workout plan for a particular day. Though my carbs are around 30g a day or less almost all summer.

Your body gets use to it......then when you do refeed you feel like utter crap.

I schedule my back day after my refeeds.....my most intense day.

If and when I come off of CKD, I plan on keeping my carbs around 100-150g but with r-ala supplementation.

I'm trying to put on weight right now so my carbs are up-- but low GI carbs (mostly oatmeal) and I'm eating 20-30% CHO depending on workouts.

When my carbs are low and I refeed I feel hung over. It's almost not a treat just because it makes me feel so icky.

It may have a lot of exposure, but as far as I'm concerned its a good thing.

People are waking up from the food pyramid delusions which is a good thing.

Also a lot easier to find low carb meals, in addition to somethings no longer being premium specialty items as raina mentioned. Both good things.

Fiber by the way you don't count as carbohydrates, because by definition your body can't utilize fiber. You eat it and it just passes through you.
