Right. We actually rolled a bunch of products under that brand name.
Originally (before me) they bought a system that was used in one (yes, one) hospital in the entire world. It was basically a custom-written installation that GE mistakenly though was a salable product.
Then after that, we acquired a string of companies. MeciaLogic (Logician) was a great buy -- that was during my time there. We also bought Millbrook Medical Management (TX-based company) which was another good buy. We rolled the RIS and PACS system (which was a train wreck) into the Centricity brand as well as an operating room information system.
So truth be told, Centricity was a "dog's breakfast" of best-of-breed systems. I don't know how integrated they are now, but the upstream product manager (friend of mine) is one of the brightest, most pragmatic people I've every known.
