This is not a criticism of Americans...

what euroland peeps fail to recognize is the distance n.americans have to travel to get euroland "culture"
a german traveling to italy is similiar in distance to a michigan resident taking a vacation to the keys.
myself, i have no desire to leave n.america

I'm noticing that I'm not the only one afraid of flying.

why is it that my IN-laws make me feel like such a freak for not wanting to fly everywhere all the time?

no, it's a huge fear. They actually have "fear of flying " courses you can take with most airlines.

You in-laws would not be your inlaws any more if you divorced that American car loving hubby of yours ;-)
People who make you feel bad abot a fear are very closed minded. It's a real fear and it's NOTHING to be ashamed of

A german travelling to Italy would be like you (snowbelt, MI, right?) going down to Detroit...

Italy is 300miles down south bro, at least Milan... you want to go firther south, add some 100-200 miles more

no, actually I am far from kidding. Ask yourself my Japanese cares outsell American cars.
The unions are killing the US work market! They want, want, want!
Not all the Japanese car are made in Japan, Look at how many plant are in the states and not all US cars are made in the States, I do believe some of them are made in Canada.

I feel better that i'm not the only one. I am kinda ashamed of it though!

i thought it was farther...but you get my point.
it's not easy for the average american with 2 weeks off to fly thousands of miles away for the fabled euroland culture.

ohhh but the nubile euroteens wearing white, transparent, airy linen pants and no bra (so D&G fashion-aware they are) are so worth it...

you'd dig it the most, I'm telling ya

why would americans travel to europe anyway? To see McDonalds and Walmart? Burger King and Starbucks? Billboards on the roads? They need to travel to the rest of the world where the "Euro Trash" I stated earlier will be to really get something new!(oh wait Mcdonalds and Starbucks are there to,nevermind)
