Any IT people here buy hardware from Dell? Apparently they've outsourced their sales support to India so every 3rd week I get a call from some Indian guy trying to sell me some software. They've been given Americanized names to use on the phone like Dave or John but their accents are pretty heavy and they read their script in a robotic manner...almost like english isn't their native language even though it is. It's kinda funny when you interrupt them so they lose their place and they stumble a bit to regain control.

you gotta be joking me. Outsourcing SALES guys? Usually you want your sales guys to be suave, articulate and have perfect english and communication skills. Typical "guy smileys" kinda guys. The anthony robbins kinda people.

The guys calling are only offering software and it's usually the weeks after I've bought hardware. They open with the "how is that x working out for ya" line. If they want to offer me some LCD's at rock bottom prices we'll take some.
