Things are getting dangerous: Thousands of illegal criminal immigrants march in Illinois demanding amnesty!

DJ_Ufo and Hengst should mate.

Dude, I'm in exactly the same position as you are, I'm a LEGAL immigrant in a country that has nothing to do with me but offer opportunities for me and my family (why would I be here otherwise). Needless to say, I have no loyalties or ties, if tomorrow my chances look better in Italy, Spain or the US, you can be completely sure I will move there with no remorse.

What sickens me is your ULTRANZA attitude, you feel more of an US citizen than a 5th Generation US citizen. Have you forgotten your roots? does the fact that you have a green card and not a passport bothers you? Are you ashamed of speaking spanish?

WTF man? Your point got across, it's conveyed, you don't need to create a thread EVERY FUCKING DAY to let people know how much you hate latinos (or mexicans) who come illegally into your precious host-country. Do you think you are doing the country a favor? or you that you will be proclaimed a hero among Chileans?

We are what we are, nothing changes that. I will be a legal German citizen in 2 years, according to a Passport? Will I be less Venezuelan because of that? Or less "Latino" for that matter?

I condemn illegal inmigration as much as the next guy, it's a burden on all legal members of a society (wether citizens or residents) just be careful not to fall into borderline paranoia. I read your posts and I can't help but think "Damn, this is the kind of people who would not think twice before commiting one of those hate-crimes"

No, other illegal activities are also supported via marches and demonstrations.

Example:

Potheads have magazines and stores dedicated to helping them abuse an illegal drug. They also routinely do protests and other forms of civil demonstration for the legalization of their cause.

Now *that* is an example of a highly criminal behavior that is routinely overlooked. I can't figure-out why we just don't make THC testing part of every blood and urine test and just get rid of all the potheads once and for all. It is, afterall, illegal hence we need to enforce our laws.

You think smoking a little pot is worse than illegal immigrants?

I think his post was way off base anyways. Just because someone marches in a stoner parade doesnt mean they are breaking the law. Illegal immigrants are breaking the law just by being here. They're criminal by default.

Pintoca, this is a great post. Thats what I dont understand with any immigrant - how can they love their host country more than the one that is their mother-country. It doesnt matter if they are citizens or hold green cards, they still are different - they still talk english with an accent. I know that people at stores look at me weird when I start talking, they kinda laugh when I mix up how to wright the dates cause I am used to day/month/year etc....IMO every immigrant should keep their culture and tradition wherever they are. I dont like people that assimilate too easy

and that is the problem.

We are Americans exactly because our forefathers gave up their original languages, customs, manner of dress and even changed their names to be more American. How many Mr. Freemans are there in Europe anyway?

And, Pincota, if your primary allegiance remains with Venesuala and your 'people' then you are welcome to leave Europe too. Multiculturalism is losing in Europe and if you don't feel like you belong here, then we do not want you here.

I find it absolutely amazing that folks that come from the third world to Europe or America bitch and complain that it's not like home....... DUH. It's exacly not like home and it's those first world benefits that third worlders want. You notice this when benefits to immigrants are reduced..... immigration is reduced. IF THEY REALLY WANTED TO BE EUROPEAN OR AMERICAN THEN THEY WOULD COME REGARDLESS OF THE BENEFITS.

every single minoroty we have in Macedonia has kept their culture, language and tradition. They never changed their names to fit in my country.

Now, when you move to a different country, I beleive that you still have to change a bit, so you fit in, but not to that degree to forget where you came from and who you are

PS. if you so feel american, why do you have the Netherland flag?

actually we're not. Exchanging information is legal. Having pipes, papers, and bongs is legal. Using them to smoke weed is not.

Capice?

FG, you have to adapt, you don't live anymore in your home-country so you make compromises. Little ones: You learn the local language, abide the local rules, stop making comparations (ohh, in my country this is so much better...) and try to blend while remaining true to your roots that is all.

Our son is named Daniel, no second name (as it'S cutomary in Vzla), why Daniel? because Daniel sounds the same in Spanish, German and English... it'S the little things you do that set the difference. WHen you have kids is even more complicated, kids don't want to feel different, so it's a balance act to teach both cultures and form a single identity. What you are is not dictated by your paperwork but by your upbringing and the society where you live

EXACTLY

And you know that Macedonia is a model of multicultural harmony. LOL LOL LOL LOL
It's only by the skin of your teeth that your country did not decend into a Civil War a few short years ago. The Albanians and the Macedonians live SEPERATE AND SEGREGATED lives.
