The Zig Zag diet= MuscleTech models?

I have noticed that the models (not the pros) of Muscle Tech have little muscle and lots of fat in their before pictures and are very shredded and muscular in their after pictures. I am wondering if the zig zag diet is the culprit here? If anyone is not familiar with it, it is simply eating more calories (to build mass) some days and less calories (to lose fat) other days for five months.

NO, they just look like that in the offseason. When you cut up after bulking you always look like you have more muscle mass. Welcome to the world of bodybuilding.

It's fairly simple; these models purposely gain bodyfat and load up on sodium before the "before" photos and diet down (as you would for pre-comp) for the "after". Most people can hold 15lbs. of water+ so that bloat will make anyone look fat. I worked with a few of the models and saw first hand their ups and downs that were artificially put together.

I've heard of several trainers / models that were aproached by different supp companies that ASKED them to gain weight.
Then afterward, they are supposed to diet back down and use the product, and the after pic is taken and they then get the payment for the ad.

You've heard right....in some cases, i.e. pro bodybuilders, the people look so bad offseason there is no need for fat gain.

When i read muscle mags i think that muscletech should just make its own mag and call it a Special 120 Page ad report
