The sports corner

did you see Tiger's swing on the hole where he drove the green (I think it was 15 or something, like a 320yard hole). INSANE

Yeah, that was on Saturday. The 16th is 372 yards but if you go right at the green it's about a 320 yard carry. Not a 320 yard drive, a 320 yard carry. lol

also impressive was him getting on 12 in 2 yesterday, a 605 yd par 5, then making the putt for eagle, 270 yd carry to reach the green on his approach, now thats fuckin long

Gary Payton went back to the Celtics. Said he had to "teach the young guys some more," and "it was the right fit."

Injuries are already plaguing the Dodgers

Eric Gagne injured his knee, he should be ready for opening day

Jason Werth got beaned in the first exhibition game and broke/fractured a bone on his arm. He might be ready for opening day.

Odalis Perez got tendonitis from lifting weights, he might not be ready by opeing day

Brad Penny who got that rare nerve injury last year is now projected to not be ready until atleast a couple of weeks into the regular season

There were 4 pitchers (Kaz Ishi, Wilson Alvares, Edwin Jackson, Scott Ericson) going for the 5th starter spot on the Dodgers rotation it looks like there will now be 2 spots to fill.

I think Scott Ericson and Kaz Ishi will win the spots, Winlson Alvares will be sent to the bull pen for long relief and spot starts, Edwin Jackson will begin the season in triple A. Kaz Ishi will fuck up after a few starts, and either Alvares will take that starter spot, full time or share it with Elmer Dessens (also in the bull pen), or if Edwin Jackson does well in AAA he'll be called up.

Have I mentioned that I really miss hockey? The only fix I get is watching Sidney Crosby highlights from the QMJHL.

Are you optimistic for next season ?

I went to the big 10 championship game on sunday - Illiniois vs. Wisconsin. Pretty ugly game but entertaining. I got illinois going all the way, of couse :)

My parents are going to be in indiana on thursday and friday, lucky fucks

Yup. Check my picks I scored this week: Tiger, Els, Scott and Cink.
thats solid, as long as you got tiger you are good to go this week, i would be very surprised if he didnt win, he owns this course like no other on tour

Absolutely. I think that both sides will have experienced enough pain to not want to experience a second kick in the nuts. They'll find a middle ground in time.

The players may prefer more $ in russian/european clubs than an agreement with a low cap in Canada

Those Russian/European clubs can only offer big contracts to a handful of players...and even then, this year was a one-shot deal for shock value I think. There's no way they could sustain paying 2 and 3 million dollar contracts. Even with an average cap of only 30 million per team, the NHL would still pay more than any european team. The only stars that might chose to hang back for less money would be europeans, who would chose to remain in their familiar culture in an environment where the salary difference is less than it used to be.

Man, the Lakers just keep getting crappier and crappier as crunch time approaches

Kobe's a bitch. Did you watch that game vs. Philly? What the fuck is he sulking for now? He looked like he wasn't even trying or he was trying to prove some immature point like he used to when Shaq was there. That kind of shit is inexcusable when your team is do or die to make the playoffs.

Barry Bonds is going to undergo a second knee surgery which means he will not make the Opening day roster. Although I'm glad any time that roid rager has some sort of set back, this time it bums me out a bit. I have opening day tickets at Dodger Stadium and I purposely bought left field pavillion seats so that I could talk shit to that fuck. Without him there I just have cheap seats :(

I've always hated Bonds. Since I was 12 and I sent away a card asking for his autograph, and he mailed me back an application to his fanclub. :(

players championship this week, ive played there a few times great course, 17 is really not a hard hole, its very short but i guess with all that money on the line its a pressure hole for sure, starting lineup:
phil
zach johnson
joe ogilvie
kenny perry

what's your guys opinion on Bonds and Mcguires chances for the hall of fame after all this "steroids scandal" crap?

ESPN polled 150 of the hall of fame voters, Mac wouldn't get in, Bonds would
thats what i think, bonds gets in and big mac doesnt, thats a shame big mac was one of my all time favorites

Final Four are Illinois, UNC, Louisville and MSU. Illinois and Louisville play next while UNC and MSU play each other.

This year was the first time 3 of the 4 regional games went into overtime.

It's funny....any other year, university hockey in Canada gets about 30 seconds worth of highlight coverage on TSN. This year, they've been showing some games, and are gushing on and on about them on SportsCenter. Take what you can get, I guess. Memorial Cup should get a ton of coverage this year as well.

and Schumi will use the new F2005

I really REALLY like the mavericks team we've put together this year, such a deep bench and 6-1 under new coach Avery Johnson!

van horn playing better with us than any other team he's been on and stackhouse is now back after 25 games off!

They will never beat the Pistons in a playoff series. :)
