The sports corner

OK, so this thread will be like an ESPN news center. Anyone can chime in at any time and talk about any sports news, rumor, trade, etc... going on. As long as it's sports related you can talk about it here. You don't even have to follow suit with whatever the person on top of you posted, you can talk about something totally different as long as it's about sports.

I think that Kobe has found out that there were some good and important aspect of Phil Jacksons triangle, which he didn't like so much while Jackson was there. I think Jackson could do something with the current team. Mihm is a solid center in the making, he needs some good mentoring and farming. Atkins and Odom are good, they just need to be placed in the proper roles which Rudy T did not seem to be able to do. And Kobe is Kobe, center the offense around him and the teams a winner.

What are your Superbowl predictions?

personally, I don't care, I just need the ending numbers to be 3 and 4 on every and any quarter.

I wanted Phili to win, just so the Pats wouldn't tie the Cowboys record of 3 out of 4 Super Bowls.

Cowboys were terrible this year and I don't even think we get a Top 10 pick in next year's draft. Anyone heard any rumors on what we will be doing with Testaverde?

Kobe Bryant is overrated.
Blood, check out how shitty the team is playing with out him. How do you call that overrated? He just needs to learn how to make the players around him better, instead of just focusing on his own offense.

Sure, thats what he needs to do, but will he do it? He's a selfish, me first type player, and I dont see that changing.
In other news, I'm going to see the Supe's beat up on the Hornets tonight!

Their record isn't that different with him out than it was with him in. Anyway, he's an excellent player, just not nearly as good as people have been saying over the past few years. The presence of Shaq made him look a lot better than he was.

I mean, people have been saying there's a valid Jordan comparison and that's complete BS.

I hope not. I want my man Phil to coach a better quality team than the lakers.

I just had the arguement the other day with my coworker that if Phil took the Knicks job he would have the chance to cement his legacy. I don't give a shit how many rings he has, let him do it without Kobe, Shaq, Michael, Scottie.

Any formula 1 fan here ?

Phil Jackson is rumored to be returning to the Lakers

I sure hope so because they are simply horrible right now
Phil Jackson is a horrible coach

Have you heard of this brand new steroid specially designed for professional sport ?

It's supposed to be "better" than Conte's THG

Is any one else as excited about Baseball'sseason coming up as me?

"ONE MIGHT BE THINKING that the Eagles should have won this season’s Super Bowl outright had Donovan McNabb not thrown three interceptions. However, that is who Donovan McNabb is. This would be a moot point to make. Fifty attempts? Yeah, you’d better believe that McNabb – McFavre – will toss three picks given that many opportunities!

Hey, the Eagles’ coaches and coordinators know the game and their personnel best. But when the people that have those jobs have a quarterback who can be expected to complete only about 57% of his throws (based on career numbers and the strength of this particular defense), and do damage to his team the more he throws, why, then, didn’t they insert some planned runs for McNabb? A simple, little quarterback draw? Why didn’t they toss in a reverse to keep the New England defense honest? Why didn’t McNabb have the guts to tuck it in and run every now and then? The Eagles meekly allowed New England to turn McNabb into a pocket passer, where McNabb is, oh, maybe on a level with, say, Dieter Brock? Jeff Kemp?

In the second quarter, when it was obvious that every Philly offensive possession would be 50-50 to end in a McNabb- spasmed turnover, Eagles’ owner Jerry Lurie should have walked calmly from his private box into the Eagles’ coaching booth, ripped the headset off offensive coordinator Brad Childress, grabbed him by the collar with both hands and screamed, 'If you’re gonna let this scatter-armed guy who couldn’t read a defense with oversized type and a magnifying glass pass us out of this game, you can pack up and leave…NOW!' Then, Lurie could have marched down to the playing field and delivered the same message to head coach Andy Reid. This game proved that the pre-Terrell Owens group of Eagles receivers were given a bad rap. Before the Owens trade, the line was always 'he has no receivers.' McNabb twists these poor SOBs into pretzels as they attempt to catch his throws!

The Philadelphia offensive game plan had no guts. Only Terrell Owens showed any.

If ALL pro athletes got paid a maximum of $100,000 a year do you think they would still play. O yeah, they still could get endorsements

A lot of athletes make more money with commecials than with their own sport

In Hungary.

As for the other 15 races...

Ferrari will not be competitive for the first few races :)

Yeah if you've ever seen a fat guy on a rollercoaster, with his jowls flapping up over his eyes and covering his ears, it's kinda like that.

I saw a replay of the Tito Ortiz and Vitor Belfort fight, that shit was pretty good. Although I didn't like all that drama, shit talking at the end, too WWF.

Either that, or else they'll run away from the field for the first few races, until the rest get their collective shit together. It's always one or the other.

NHL hockey may not be what it was in the 80's and early 90's, but it's still better than anything else out there.

I love hockey orb but the NHL has been total shit for many years now. I haven't watched a full game in probably 10 years. I kind of hope losing the season keeps a lot of fans away (not holding my breath in Canada, fools :) ) so that these idiots wake up and make some changes.

there's a good spring training article on ESPN.com with a preview of 10 teams and some people to look out for. Somehow Gammons took his hand off the collective cock of the Red Sox long enough to write the article.

The goaltenders are now the fucking stars, and that's not right.

tiger has never won at riviera

I know, you think he's due? :)

He also has never finished outside of the top 20 and has 4 top tens. He doesn't need to win either. T4 or better and he's number one again.

March 6, the F1 season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne!

Todays newspaper said Mario Lemiuex would be interested of playing at the world championships. If the NHL season is cancelled then most of the big names will play in the world champs. It will be good.

3] Montoya

Why ?
Fiability problems ?
