The grittiness in protein drinks and shakes

swole said:
why are you using protein shakes? you trying to cut? replace that shit with food.

the only shake i see necessary is waxy maize in water PWO - followed by whey and water 20 minutes after that

the rest is a waste in my opinion, unless of course you are really pressed for time and like filling in nutritional gaps throughout the day then they are useful

syntrax nectar is delicious

no lie the best shaker bottle i've used is from GNC - it's called the blender bottle

they never leak and i shake the hell out of them
i was using it as a healthy mid day snack
didnt have anything else in the house at the time
i dont drink them often
but on occasion i do

so i wont be buying that brand anymore
they discontinued the MetRx lite brand that I used to love some years back. they sold it in those single servings.

stay away from Myoplex as well.

just about any quality whey such as Optimum Nutrition, Muscle Milk, Designer Whey, etc. will work.

I have found Designer Whey to be repulsive
I think Ive had MM, is that the stuff that comes in pre-mixed cans or little juice-box shaped things? that stuff tastes good but its kinda pricey, no?
I have never tried ON, but I guess I can give it a whirl

Out of all the shakes I have tried ON's mix the best and taste the best. I was partial to Syntha 6 for almost a year but that ON stuff is good and mixes easy no blender needed.

i will only drink mine from a blender with crushed ice

I use MM, but i just by the powder and mix it myself. Yes the pre made are a bit pricey. but the powder isn't so bad. They always have the 5lb tubs on sale by my house.

go here www.vitaglo.com or www.bulknutrition.com since u r frugal.

both have great deals on powders. vitaglo gives u free shipping on orders over $50. the 5lb muscle milk is $60 in the store. i can get it for $40 there. it is only $20 for the 2.2 lb. they sell ON whey as well.

MM does have RTD in juice box but also in tubs. the un-mixed is so much cheaper and when u mix it with water and a couple of ice cubes it tastes just as good if not better than the pre-mix plus it is a whole lot cheaper.
