great post bro. However I disagree with you by saying that Arnold didnt have the genetics. Have you seen pics of him in his teens? He was a man-eater.
The biggest thing i do agree with you on though is the mindset. I am learning more and more what a mental game this is, and what a direct correlation your mind and body have with each other. You know what they say ... healthy body, healthy mind.
I was reading an article the other day about an older pro, I think it was Frank Zane, and how he owed most of his accomplishments in bodybuiliding to meditation. Each day before each workout he would meditate for 40 minutes. Set his goals, vision his workouts etc... Sounds kinda like a "hippy" practise to me, but it was a very interesting read.
I also think that having confidence in yourself is key to the healthy mindset. After all .... confidence is the key to success.
