Your body isn't going to like the first injection.
My first inject of test cyp was 1cc in my delt. The site was pink, swollen, warm and had tendrils for 8 days. I took advil and let it subside. I think it's very rare that a site becomes infected. I would honestly give it 6-7 days before getting worried.
If you hit a vein, you'd know. Blood would rush into the syringe whether you aspirated or not.
Next time start with .5cc. Split your injections up more frequently (example - .5cc in left glute, .5cc in right glute 3-4 days later) until the body gets used to the idea of this foreign substance. No reason to blow your load with one injection.
Warm up to the idea of hitting quads and delts. Shoot the bodypart you plan on training that day or immediately after. Warm up the gear either in a hot water bath or blow dryer. Shoot slowly. Rub the site following injection. Take a warm shower after your workout. CVS has adhesive heating pads that last 8 hours, you can slap these on while you sleep. They're cheap.
