I was planning on using it later on in the year, Primo/Var stack. bet S**** would have told be about the high BA problem, and I would have just baked it er the che labs fume hood for a couple of hours, getting rid of the excess alcohol.
The most likely reason why it stung is because oil is too dense to accomodate a 100mg/ml Primo solution. It would create a very heterogeneous solution. ie.. it would not dissolve properly. You would then have to increase the solubility of the solvent(Oil) by adding alcohol(BA)(Which also has the bonus of sterilizing it nicely), and therfore letting the primo be soluble at 100mg/ml, and making the solution homogeneous.
