anyone ever have problems with biceps not growing as much as other body parts? no matter how much gear I use and how hard I train them they still dont want to grow past 18.1/16 inches?
I got lean and ripped, but couldn't get past 190. My arms were up to 16", but when I cut to show definition, they get smaller again. Most guys would be happy to get 18" flexed. I don't look bad, but unless I'm willing to take massive doses (no way) I'll likely not get bigger and keep it anytime soon.
That doesn't mean I still don't push to see what my body will do.
I would have to agree with Golden_Muscle, genetics has alot to do with your arm size. But IMO. if you want to gain more size, you might want to switch up your routine and gain more muscular weight such as 15 lbs= 1 inch to your arms, I find this very true.
I had stopped doing isolation movements and concentrated on deadlifts/Power Cleans/Squat/Bench Press-- my arm had shot up 1" growth in 5 weeks, but of course, I gained about 18 pounds as well.
I have the same problem. I have found that by cutting back on excercises that directly target the bi's, they are actually growing more. Most pulling movements hit the bi's indirectly and following that with a bi routine pretty much led to overtraining for me. I work chest and bi's together now. After my chest routine I do three heavy sets of curls drop setting the last set until complete failure. This has been working really well for me.
