Feel pretty good and this will probably be the next to last time I work upper body before my contest. Feel pretty good but my speed was still fairly slow. Time to start creatine loding before my contest...

Flat Bench Press
225 x 3 x 8 sets, 45 sec rest between sets, closer grips used

Board Press
315 x 1 w/ 0 boards x 2 sets
326 x 1 w/ 1 board
337 x 1 w/ 2 boards
348 x 1 w/ 3 boards
359 x 1 w/ 4 boards
370.5 x 3 w/ 5 boards

Incline Bench Press (pinky on power ring)
225 x 8, super strict

Tate Presses
55's x 8 x 3 sets

Rev Grip Barbell Rows
135 x 10
205 x 10 x 2 sets

Standing Barbell Curls (first time doing these in about a year)
135 x 5 x 2 sets

All in all not too bad. I feel pretty strong and agile, hope to have a good event training day on Sunday. That is where all progress is measured...on event trainind days.

Here is the link to me doing my 2nd set of close grips with 315. My speed felt really good on the positive portion of the movement.

2 board press with 337. I keep my pointer finger completely on the smooth part of the bar, try to take the negative relatively slow, pause for a split second on the boards, then explode back up.

Doing rev grip rows. I actually think that having a thicker heel on my shoes when doing these MIGHT help me bend over farther. Not having a high heel on my Chucks seems to sit me back farther (ideal for squats and deads though). Who knows...
 
Standing Bar curls with 135. As long as my wrists, elbows, and bic tendons hold up...I may keep these in my routine...

about my squats....
yes i was using a box , about 1-2 inches below parallel. I dont go down too fast... i've always had kinda a slow descent.
I've squatted with light bands choked, so i had an idea of what it was going to feel like, which is why i started w/ the mini's a lights choked
 
I'm really feeling those board presses and the tate presses...whew...

Ya'all need to give them a try...
