Some girl thanked me today for hitting on her

Bro, it isn't really a psych trick, or not at least the way I perceive it myself.

It's about perspective. The problem a lot of guys have is that they jump too far ahead in their minds. They're already doing the deed, and it shows in their approach. All you did was invite her to coffee. The all you did after coffee is ask for some digits or an email addy etc etc etc. Be there in the moment with people, whether its girls, clients, customers etc etc

The bf thing is different. No one says you have to pursue her if she has a bf, or more accurately a genuinely committed realtionship with someone. Sometimes that is the case, sometimes it masks different concerns (who is this guy, I just broke up with someone and am not really ready to start dating, etc etc) Even as a guy I always tell strangers Im involved a s a nice way to blow them off, or avoid going into details about my personal life, which is none of their business. All you are at this point is two people talking over coffee. At the very least, she may have some cute friends she will want to hook you up with:) And if she thinks you are a decent guy, you will have a much easier time with them, because she will already have talked you up

On another note when i do run across haughty women what should i use to cut them down so they won't treat other men taht way? I figure a mean insult won't work i need something that is more like what a father would say. Something like 'in 20 years all you'll have to go on is personality so you'd better start working on that'. Something to make her think that she should treat people nicer, i'd prefer that over an insult. Any ideas? I don't want to just duck and run if a woman is a brat, i want her to pay and to not treat others that way.[/QUOTE]

I've always felt the same way. The reason to put them in their place is so they will hesitate before being rude to someone else. I've done it before, I'll have to remember what I said. I think I used the personality line more than once.

biteme,

So how bad did starfish kick your ass after you pulled that line with her. The fact that you can't remember means she must have whacked it out of you pretty hard:)

Not yet. But I think I'm starting to get her on her nerves just a bit. 21 days together with someone all day and night is a long time. We get along great, usually I have to get away from somone after less than a day. I've been alone for so long, that this an adjusting period.

Yep. I just find it undignified, my gender deserves better than to be spat on because we fight for crumbs (which is what it can feel like to be treated rudely by a woman). Girls who are bitches because they are treated bad are one thing but the ones who are bitches because they are used to men groveling over them make me sick. Luckily i don't approach beautiful women (i dont like beautiful women, just plain or slightly cute women) my odds of finding people like that shouldn't be too high.

I saw the pics of her choking you on the other thread, so I can well imagine.

I'm the same way, I need time alone, or I get irritable. I couldn't live in an apartment with anyone, never could. A big house is ok, so long as I have my own space to think.

I really hope that's a joke bro, or you have some serious issues:)

Yeah, good job. Just try to make her think twice about cutting you or anyone else down, but not being mean, or else they will think that they got to you.
Don't accuse them of anything, but instead try asking them a clever rhetorical question and walk away, leaving them to think about changing their attitude/behavior a little.
