Sodium Load -- PreContest

I'm about to begin a sodium load in prep for my contest on the 14th. This is my first contest, and I've heard lots of contradicting opinions on the sodium load. Here's what I'll be doing (trainer told me to do):
Fri.-- 8000mg sodium
Sat. -- 8000mg sod.
Sun. -- 10000mg sod.
Mon. -- 10000mg sod.
Tues. --12000mg sod.
This will be in conjunction with zero carbs and high protein. Then, on Wed., I will begin a carb-up. I'm not sure yet as to how it is supposed to look like.

If anyone has any opinions, tips, etc.. on this, let me know please.
 
wow, can we say...A LOT OF SODIUM lol :D

Now, on a serious note:
Have you tried this before? If not, then I would not recommend it due to the fact that you have been working hard (I assume) up to the show, and water retension can mess up your look.

Dude, please, for your own sake, DO NOT fuck with sodium loading on the week of the show if you have not experimented with it before. I have a friend that decided to try this and, because he didn't know how his body would respond, totally screwed himself up!

Before your next show, try it 2 or 3 weekends prior, so you can fine tune the process and see if your body reacts properly.

By the way, if you are doing any N.C. shows in August, please disregard my post! I like watery competition!:D
