I think pitts, sharpeis (sp?), and some of those other dogs are more for fighting, but my point is, very few dogs are born mean. People make them that way. My dobie is 100 lbs and strong as hell. He'd never think of biting anyone unless, I'm hoping, they were messing me up.

Yeah, rotts were used for security, but that doesn't always mean attack dog. I learned a lot about that stuff when I was training my dog. Not how to do it, but how there are so many different levels of their training.
