first off i wouldn't even know where to get a "shirt".i wouldn't wear one if i did,i would rather get stronger to push the weight not but a "shirt".i bench no where near what you bench but i will admit that is alot without the shirt but i'm not impressed if you have to wear one to do 600.sorry,can't buy into it. and i have trained as a bodybuilder for years and i wanted to learn more about powerlifting as i thought it was.not shirts, boards and all that shit.does anyone on here lift without these things?????do you really feel good after making a lift in this shirt?and you say go win money??what does that mean?do you win money at these meets?i have heard of the wpo but can't say i know the details of it,but i beleive in old school sweat and determination .please respect my opinion.it pisses me off i come here and to answer my questions you direct me to other sites to read!isn't that why we are on these boards?
You are right, you shuldn't buy a shirt, you should buy a time machine! Go back to the 1970's and you will be satsfied. Wait, without progression there would be no internet (you wouldnt have a forum to cry in, no cell phones and everyone would be benchng raw.
Powerlifting is a sport. So is football, basketball and baseball.
How have these sports changed in the last 30 yrs?
Football-better pads, stronger, lighter, better shoes all help increse performance and protect injury
basketball- Much better shoes less afros!
Baseball- Better helmets, elbow gaurds, shin guards for hitters, tighter baseballs for more home runs
See, if powerlifting never got performance enhancing and injury preventive equipment then the sport would pateau (hate that word) and there would be no progress and a lot more injuries.
I can tell by your post that you have a tiny little bench press and a shirt woudnt help you much anyways. So crawl back to the smith machine with your pink spandex hot pants cause you don't belong with great lifters like most of the members of this board.
