severe joint pain

Hey, just posting for a mate of mine.
He is 290lb, 5`10, bit overweight but strong. He was on sust, dbol and deca up to a month ago and was benching 200kg for a rep, curling 80lb - basically a strong guy.
However, he is now off gear and is having really bad problems with his shoulders. He cant train delts or chest now as pain is high.
Is he best to go back on gear with some glucosamine, ibuforen, etc or just take a full month off training?
Any ideas what he can take to alleviate the trouble.
Cheers

Time off for sure. I went through the same thing 6 months ago. My bench jumped 60 lbs during a cycle and when I came off I tried to maintain it and hurt my shoulder. Now its 6 months later. After a month of doing flys and not working shoulder and then 5 months of hardwork im only down 10 lbs from my peak. If you never take time off the injury will nag you forever.

Didn't touch AS in the mean time and Im about to blow through another plateau in a week or so (Tren/Prop/Tbol). CANT WAIT! Just hope my joints hold up.

Is he still trying to lift the same amount of weights? Some guys dont realize that they must lower the volume when they come off.

No his bench has gone from 150 for ten to 150 for four reps. He is a fool in the fact he finsihed 14 weeks of gear and ran NO PCT!! I told him to take nolva, hcg, etc and he never did it. He lost a lot of strength and size due to it and he now can hardly train due to the shoulders.
What supps are good for him? I gave him so glucosamine, hes taking cod liver oil too...

290 @ 5'10" ... ya i'd say he's a " tad " bit overweight !!

Tell your buddy to do dips for his chest instead of bench ... at his weight he should be able to build a better looking pec area doing dips then he would ever hope to get out of benchpressing . Dipping 290 will be a challenge !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I seldom bench any more and if i do , it's only when i'm on a cycle .... there are far more effective chest building exercises that don't stress the shoulder half as much .

When guys in the gym ask one another " how much can you bench ? " I return the question " how many dips can you do ? "

Switch your benchpress routine for dips and you'll soon figure out what i'm talking about and realize how weak you really are .

I agree bro

if you arent healthy off cycle, you arent healthy on cycle, sounds like this guy is headed to a life in a wheelchair or early heart attack if he doesnt shape up his diet and cardio, as well as working out INTELLIGENTLY.. supps are to SUPPLEMENT a lifestyle... THEY ARENT THE LIFESTYLE ITSSELF... my gues is that he wanted to bust a cycle to get buff and pull wool??? that is dangerous ,, especially if he runs no pct,

sometimes with certain joint pain, even taking time off won't cure the problem 100%... depends on the severity of damage done... however, taking sufficient time off is a much better idea than continuing with heavy training, taking pain medications or gear

here is something I just posted about 10 posts down

Some products to aid your joints:
-Glucosamine and Chondroitin
-Meadowsweet, Devil's Claw, Wild Yam
-vitamin E and coenzyme Q10

One product that I liked a lot was "horsetail", especially in my tea.

get him to run pct now. and take time off from training. take advise from someone who has had 5 orthopedic operations.(2 knee, 2 foot, 1 shoulder) the shoulder is still not right
