schedule interfering with work outs

arg! my schedule the past few weeks has not really allowed me to workout. the problem is im a noob and very concerned about losing my gains, i seem to lose weight much faster than i can put it on. i just started a new job on the weekends and the rest of the time im in school. normally its not a problem because i workout at school, but now its time for finals and i feel like i have no time to work out. i think im gonna ride it out and just wait to work out when im done with finals and just hit it that much harder. my guess is that i should just do pushups and stuff like that while im at home. on the plus side my chest doesnt seem to lose size when i dont work out (it seems like its been growning when i havent worked out) but the rest like my shoulders and bis lose size quick. oh what a life...

When I was in school I used the gym for my study breaks. I would go in when i couldn't handle studying anymore and lift to clear my mind then get back at it. Just keep a positive mind frame and realized that you can't always have it easy and sometimes you have to lighten up on one thing to take on another.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Here's what I would do:

Don't study.

I hate when people put education over physical health. My friends do it all the time and that's why theyre fat and ugly...
Do what you must. I'd skip it because I don't value education as much as I should.

Just ask yourself if studying is worth more to you than lifting., then you should get an answer.

Make time.

My wife and I spent many a morning setting the alarm for 4:00am so we could be waiting outside the gym at 4:30am waiting for it to open... and then still make all the meetings of the day.

BTW, this advice is coming from a terrible student. peace

Just study at home/night and workout during school (assuming that you're using your spare time IN school studying). You can do just as well...although your marks will be higher due to memory retention. I would just wait it out or make time...you can always make time. You probably spend an hour watching TV, or just procrastinating in general doing whatever you do. Just go heavy and intense (45 minutes minimum - 1 hour max). And don't sacrifice your grades for your physique :). They're both equally important and you really shouldn't let either fall behind. My muscles shrink after 3-4 days of non-use its normal but I've noticed growth overall, and when you rest your body has time to heal (Giving you time for more growth in larger areas). Yeah...I should mention not to fall behind in your sleep/diet (eating) cuz both lifting and studying/test-writing will suffer.

i really dont watch tv at all these days. ive been at school training for my new job, and studying and writing papers, just no time to work out, on the plus side i think the break has allowed my muscles to grow over the past week and a half. maybe it was time for a break anyway i worked out like 12 weeks non stop. i bet when i hit the weights again ill have the same noob reaction and my muscles will get good stimulation, thanx for the advice. i personally think education is more important (not lifting for a week or two wont make me "unhealthy")
