Its true and I'm not on a set diet right now & I dont have a set training program yet and its the weekend and I slept in & i'm in an incredibly shitty mood --- soooooo.... yep not enough food & I'm not the least bit worried about it at the moment...

OK .. here we go....

Goal ... potentially do the NPC Eastern Seaboard figure competition in ATL - May 13, 2007. I'm just as happy if I don't make it but pursue the goal anyway.

Diet

This came up like 800 cals short & I'm not really sure why... was supposed to be around 2200 cals. Meal 1 was short just due to lack of planning so probably the big culprit...

Meal 1: 8:30 am
4 oz turkey patty
1 plum

Meal 2: 11 am
6 oz (before cooked) chicken
1 Granny Smith apple

Meal 3: 2 pm
6 oz buffalo (before cooked)
1/2 c brown rice
1 c veggies - broccoli & peas mix

Meal 4: 5 pm
same as 2

Meal 5: 9 pm
6 oz buffal (before cooking)
2 c broccoli
1 tbsp flax

Totals: 1464 cals 47% protein / 26% fat / 27% carb

Training:

AM: 25 min recumbant bike HIIT (5 min warm up, 2 min cool down)

PM: wohoo LEG DAY! (first in 2 months, a bit experimental still...)
6 min elliptical warm up
Quads - all w/ 20 sec or less between sets, haul ass to next exercise ---
- leg xt: 85/15 100/15 80/12 x 3
- leg press: 45^3/12 x 3
- DB squats: 35/12 x 3
- Hacks: 25/12 35/12 45/12

Hams: same sequence
- Lying leg curls: 65/12 75/12 60/12 x 3 -- gotta watch these .. enemy of the knees
- seated leg curls: 85/12 100/12 x 2
- DB SLDLs: 25/12 x 2 -- these suck
- GMs: bar/20 bar+10/15 bar+25/12
- walking lunges + 45 degree hyperextension: body/20 + body/15 x 3

Walking lunges seem to be ok, adding in the hyperextension burns my ass which I need desperately. I"ll look at the 90 degree hypers next round.

Spent a couple minutes posing for shits & grins. Can't help the routine work.

Mood: MUCH better than this weekend. It was evil this weekend. Just evil. Better by tonite.

Naw, I just havent' had much appetite for the last several months. On top of that I've had some crappy sinus headaches & bloody nose when I wake up due to this damn cold dry air. So just stayed in bed this weekend like untill 11 am.

Per my ortho guy -- based on the MRI nothing is torn and its just general wear & tear but I have to watch some arthritis in the right knee and just generally respect my knees a little more.

So since I've been completely off them for at least 2 months - they don't hurt and based on training last night, things are looking pretty good. Just payign attention to how they feel, I add ibuprofin prior to my workouts and have ice ready to go when I get home. So its all good - just no more heavy lifting.

Well, today I overslept & no AM cardio. Which sucks because I was looking forward to it. I apparently switched my clock over to the CD player isntead of the alarm, so ... whatever. I guess I paid for that mistake when I blew a tire (my 3rd since moving to ATL) on the drive into work. :rolleyes:

Diet:

oatmeal pancakes: 1/2 c oatmeal + 1 egg + 2 egg whites + splenda + 1 scoop protein mix (forgot the flax seed oil but threw in some flax caps instead)

4 oz chicken (this ends up being about what 6 oz chicken cooked looks like)

Dammit still came up short....

OK i guess catch up - I'm getting wishy washy re: lots of stuff right now. I keep getting these sort of random episodes of almost hormonal mood swings / depression -- I think its all very tightly related to my job. I know I'm normal hormonally cuz I just had an annual w/ my OB/GYN. Everything is normal there. I also just had my thyroid and all the other stuff done at my physical less than a month ago.

My boss quit on Monday but the CEO didnt' "officially" tell us until yesterday (which is pretty lame on his part). I was aware of it cuz I know where he is going to work and that he has verbally offered to hire me once he gets moved. But I don't know when exactly and I'm having trouble getting anyone to call me back lately.

But the work thing --- we get this new interim marketing VP (we really just borrowed the Biz Dev VP), but I officially work under the Development group (CTO) until they find a new VP of Product Mgmt and create a stand-alone Prod Mgmt dept. Normally you'd think that would be really awesome, but then a step back to reality - I'm concerned they think I'm not getting anything done because I simply don't have the backing (i.e. they see the point of a Prod Mgr & give me the authority I need and the ability to set priorities) & resources I need to get my job done -- i.e. they know I'm there but I doubt they know what exactly is Product Mgmt. Further they won't acknowledge they desperately need a project mgmt dept. Anyway -- it drives me nuts, not sure I want to wait for these "big changes" and I really just want to move.

Sooo... that shit really turns me into a shitty mood.

Dammit -- i tried to same specifically where -- to the right of the TICKETS booth -- but didnt 'see anyone. And didnot have the booth layout for inside the expo. I was worried about that. O well

I haven't even unpacked from the Ohio trip & I have to go up to Chicago for an overnighter, and go figure, its on the night Miss Bunz has class (well not that she has nights w/ no class... to quote a classic line from Back to School...). So swap out my work out clothes for work clothes, dig up the heavy winter wear & head out tomorrow afternoon.

Training is shot for this part of the week and diet is getting back to at least on schedule (vs random chunks of protein bar & bags of tuna at the Arnold). And trying to find my download cable for some pix.

Otherwise, clearing my head & preparing for some very aggressive job getting in the coming weeks. Simultaneously I am seeing Ulter & T-cake large on my radar for a tradeshow that is conveniently located in Orlando at the end of March.

I wish! Unfortunately I need to sit on my vacation right now (all 2 days of it...) -- I'm smelling a trip to San Fran in the next month or so for a couple interviews.....

Well only had to dig back to the 2nd page to find this. Diet, training, cardio all going well. Bogged down a bit over Easter because I needed some food in the car to stay awake for the 6 hr drive to the parents' condo & then back - trail mix was the junk of choice - it worked great but the huge increase in fats w/ some nice carbs thrown on top pretty much killed my downward progress for a few days. Back on it though :)

But the important news ... I just scheduled an interview w/ one of my leads in Cali! Hot damn! They are flying me out next Fri 4/20 for interviews that afternoon & then I get to hang out all weekend w/ the rental car & my buddy (who is the hiring mgr) and see the area. This job opp is in San Mateo, just south of San Fran.

Also made a connection w/ a different hiring manager at another company in the San Jose area. See what comes of that....

Thx chica! Very excited! A STABLE COMPANY for once.... Need to see what the relocation package is - the salary is a bit lower than I would've liked given the cost of living out there but its a starting place that gets me out there & lots of room to move around in a very solid growing company!

Well, I just managed to burn 2 1/2 hrs of my 30 min lunch break doing some financial stuff and hitting the mall to find an interview suit. I found one of those no-wrinkle deals at The Limited. Now I gotta find some blue shoes to go w/ them. Else I'll return the whole set up & fall back on sometihng I already have.

WOHOO! Shoe shopping that I "have" to do!

Gotta do it tomorrow nite tho - I broke a nail at work so need to get that fixed tonite & finish my taxes. Then hit the gym.

I have to see what there is in blue shoes. SOOO hard to find. If none then I'll return the suit & fall back on one of my other outfits. According to my flight schedule on Friday I should have 2 hours to get from the airport to the hotel, check in, maybe iron some stuff and then get to the offices for the interview. Luckily everything is very close to the SFO airport. And hopefully I won't get lost. (I have this unique skill...)

If you can't find blue shoes (it's hard to find an exact match), try bronze! I love wearing bronze pumps with my navy suit... plus, you will get more use out of them because you can wear them with brown, white, or even jeans! :) Have fun shopping!
 
I was at Dillards yesterday - found a nice sort of spring / summer suit I liked as well. More like light tan / white pinstripes. Giong up to the larger mall tonite to see if I can find it in my size and a little more time to shop than over my lunch break.

Blue - I'm just not sure about - the only thing I can wear w/ it is white and its just sorta boring.

I found an interview suit (not blue) and new shoes. Idiot me decided to go shopping last nite, found the suit & shoes, got home by 9:30, up until 4 am packing and various other shit. Up at 6 am to catch the 9 am flight, land at 11:30 am PST, 1 hr to get car, get checked in. Interview at 1:30. About half way thru the flight I start freaking out that they are going to give me a written test on databases so I dig up a couple of notes I had w/ me and then frantically look up some other stuff online prior to the interview. THen I miss my turn & 15 min late for the interview. Meantime my friend's wife is in the hospital so he can't actually meet me until later in the day.

Anyway, long story short - I opted to wear a different outfit so I expect I'll return the one I spent 3 days hunting for. Met w/ at least 6 people, all seemed to go well. Ultimately my friend makes the decision I think.

So now I"m sitting here completely flaky cuz I still have to find some real food and its technically 10:44 pm EST.

Pretty damn happy tho!
 
LOL I drove all over the place - ended up at Albertsons for a $3.99 bowl of spinach salad and a bag o' tuna and some plastic silverware.

And I got me one o' dem Apts for Rent books!

Man I feel like I'm working on getting my first real job out of college....
 
LMAO Brown nose make up! Actually whats sort of funny is the last nite last week I burned 3 hrs finally finding an interview suit & shoes, I stopped at the makeup counter because the suit was colors I don't normally wear. The girl spent a half hour putting stuff on and I was like - uh I gotta go so ... see ya. I ended up buying most of the same colors at the Walgreens an hour later. Love em!
 
I love my new makeup! I can't believe I've never been made up w/ those colors before -basically they are plum / cream - nothing wild but when I go to the makeup counters I usually get recommended browns or purples. Except brown washes me out and purples look, well purple. Some days you want to look like you aren't wearing "colors".

I'm still in lala-land right now. I had the interview all day Friday, then spent the weekend driving around the Bay Area down to Silicon Valley just getting a feel for the apartment opportunities, etc. I met up w/ my friend on Sunday afternoon just to talk a bit more about the position, the years we spent together in college (we both did our MS Computer Science degrees at the same place 13 yrs ago) and left it w/ him needing to circle back w/ the people I met w/ on Friday. He also sent a request for my list of personal references today.

I got in this morning at 6 am and I've been fairly useless all day so I just called in sick and went back to bed. Then at 8 pm tonite I had forgotten about another phone interview w/ one of my other leads -- so that woke me up and occupied the next 90 minutes. So should hear back on next steps by Wed and possbly fly out there again next week for an interview w/ them in Cupertino (deeper into Silicon Valley and further south from San Fran than the first opportunity).

Wohoo! Wohoo! Wohoo!

And I think I will be returning all these interview suits I bought & save a few bucks :)
 
Make up: I know what you mean about not wearing colors! I like to see like my natural features highlighted somehow...Like I tell my kids...:lmao: It's meant to look like if I woke up this pretty and just added a bit of lipstick to look nicer..:lmao: Not the other way around!!

LOL! - -Usually when I wake up its time to bring out the scaffolding & start up the heavy reconstruction & resurfacing of the face. Ugh.

I didnt' mean to sort of cheat the girl out of a sale, but she took 30 min to get the shading done. I had to get to GNC & get my damn protein powder before they closed!

Wohoo, 1 step closer. Talked to my buddy and they were trying to get ahold of the final 2 of my professional references. I contacted them and messages were left to complete that. One won't have the call until Monday but I'm thinking ... after that...!
 
I got the official verbal offer tonite. The stinker is I have a relocation "package" of $5K. That's gonna be tight. I think I'll be investing in the move....

Anyway - its a whole new life!


Might be time for a new log soon.... since I WON"T BE IN GA ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I'm very excited! The immediate impact right now is I have to come up w/ a plan & schedule to move myself. Waiting on some estimates for shipping stuff. The next 4-5 weeks are gonna be nuts.
