"Got lats" --- love it!

Recall "Godzilla vs. Bambi"? ....Quadzilla vs Hambi .... uh... ok anyway...

My day started out w/ a BOSU class getting traded in for watching Noah's Ark go floating by during the downpour.... Massage scheduleld in 37 minutes - new guy -- sports-background.... this should be good. My right lat / shoulder is still screwy - probably a small tear in the rotator. FUG. And then when that's been fixed, return for chest / shoulder workout & cardio.

Again w/ the stomach ache today. What a pain. But generally seeing a nice big fat drop in bodyfat right now. Not seeing the scale move much yet, but then that's how my body likes to mess w/ my mind. Depending on stomach, should get some pix up tonite or tomorrow, as we enter roughly 9 weeks out....
"But generally seeing a nice big fat drop in bodyfat right now. " This is WHY you shoulda posted the Start pics BEFORE ... but hey, Sassy pics are always good :)

This low weight high reps is killin me .. I have to super, Tri & giant set to keep me sane... workout today felt GREAT though after Deep Tiss. Mass ... OMGoodness.

so friggin beautiful out I couldn't even do PWO cardio ... I have to try & get back before the gym closes at 7, or other gym 8 ... have to go shop & try to find 'workout clothes' (i.e. these Nike pants that NO ONE has & ) ... & new shoes.... all 4 pairs about had it and I am PICKY ...

wait whose log is this?!

Sassy feel better have a great day ... inhaling food (that's a no-no) then get moving ... :)

Have a great day :) Enjoy the MASS-Ahhhhhhhhhhhhge

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

LOL --- well the massage was "different" -- sports / neuromuscular. Certainly not that wiped out mushy feeling after a typical massage. I'm sitting here waiting to see if it changed anything.... it was almost sort of a non-event.

Anyway - pix - this is one yr I don't really feel the need to record how fat & sloppy I got in response to my last job situation... Things appear to happening same as last yr - the stickign point at 160 lb despite dropping bodyfat....

LOL sorry I'm just sort of "here" right now - hard for me to get too excited about anything. I'm sort of pissed because the chiropractor I talked to to schedule the massage said to do the massage before I trained. Now the LMT says to do it after. So its like $55 out the window & I have to come back & do it again. Not like I've got free money coming in.....

Anyway - training tonite, see what else I can break and my career search task is to revamp all the "action words" iin my resume w/ the ones that have been identified as the "most searched", then turn that in as my draft res to start the job search with HOPEFULLY!!!!!!

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Well the trip to the LMT was interesting - have no idea if it did anything. I warmed up my rotators real good before chest and let it rip from there. I will say SICK bicep pumps today ... I think it might be the PureCEE....!!!!!!!!!!!! I beat the hell out of my chest, but its just a hard thing to hit right sometimes.

...and now my shoulders hurt.

I think I need to see the LMT again... they said I need more lat work. Somehow I don't have any throbbing pain, just sort of dull & like post-pump all over.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Aww sorry to hear about your shoulder :( Workout and diet is looking great though... as usual ;)

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

I'm still sitting here waiting to get tired. LMAO! Obviously I skipped the Butts & Guts class today -- it was over 49 minutes ago. I could've been done w/ 50 minutes of cardio as I type. Except I'd probably have fallen asleep at 2 minutes into the cardio or possibly 3 butt crunches into the class given the 3 hrs of sleep I've got so far. Blah.

I'm sure I'll sleep like a rock until 9 am now. LOL!

Great job... What is your caloric intake? How is your body changing weight, BF wise?

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Going w/ my typical meal plan:

Meal 1: 10 am
5 oz chicken
3 egg whites + 2 whole eggs
1 grape fruit

Meal 2: 1 pm
2 scoops Bev Intl Muscle Provider + 1 tbsp ANPB

Meal 3: 5pm
6 oz chicken
2 c green beans
4 oz sweet potato

Meal 4: 9 pm
2 scoops Bev Intl Muscle Provider + 1 tbsp ANPB

Meal 5: tbd
6 oz top round
1 c green beans

Total: 2033
Fat: 67 601 31%
Sat: 18 161 8%
Poly: 12 105 5%
Mono: 26 233 12%
Carbs: 110 347 18%
Fiber: 23 0 0%
Protein: 250 999 51%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

Summary: 2033 cals, roughly 50/20/30 split

Probably 1.5 gal water - i just keep drinking it. I get dried out REALLY fast and my appetite is pretty much non-existant except when its within 10 min of the 3 hr window of time to eat. I've pushed a little too far several times (mostly becaues of my screwy sleep schedule) and been totally stupid in the head from lack of carb.

Weight - as of yesterday, has not changed - still around 162. BF - don't know because I swear no one at my gym knows how to use a caliper. I might be able to get away w/ just eyeballing it for a while yet. The changes I'm goign thru are exactly the same as last yr so I guess I know what to expect. The biggest challenge is probably still going to be loose skin around my waist - you can drop the bodyfat but then the skin has to catch up so you have that perpetual bag of loose shit hanging over. I'm much happier w/ my legs this yr - the work from last yr has remained. Upper body is as its always been - I love how my "capped delts' arent' really well capped but my shoulders are nce & wide. I'll never figure that out. But upper body thickness & getting my ass / hams tight will be the challenges. Posing is great but still need to come up w/ a routine & music.

Training:

AM: slept like poo so not enough sleep --- therefore skipped Butts & Guts...

PM: Back & calves
10 min elliptical warmup
bent over bb rows: (had to get my belt for this one)
- pronated grip: bar/20 10/15 25/12 35/12
- supinated grip: 10/15 25/12 35/12
Giant (back):
- assisted chins: 55/12 (2 ct hold, 6 ct drop) x 3 -- was real careful w/ these as my right lat is squirrelly today
- Hammer Strength seated row (narrow grip): 70/12 80/12 x 2 -> wide grip 70/12 45/12
- angled 1 arm DB row: 55/12 x 3
- DB pull overs: 55/12 x 3 -- again w/ the squirrely shoulder & right elbow has an angle that I literally can't support any weight on so have to be really careful w/ this, otherwise I'll have "IVANKO" imprinted on my face....
"fly" reverse hypers: 15 x 3
Giant (calves):
- seated calf raise: 140/15 pulse + 15 slow x 3
- sliding donkey raise: 135/30 x 3
- standing calf raises: 15 slow + 15 pulse x 3

15 min posing

Just time to leave. It hasn't been productive. And honestly I'm so used to the lifestyle in Ft. Lauderdale & S. FL I just find it foreign here.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

hey girl :)

LOL shoulder -- actually better - I'm really careful about warming it up before I do upper body anything. I'll be heading back to the massage therapist this weekend I think because my lats need a lot of work in general. Of course all sorts of other joint issues are popping up -- I think I'm falling apart at the seams :worried:

But pains aside, good workouts, need to do more cardio & yoga. I was able to get in touch w/ the girl who made my night posing suit from last yr to make me a pre-judge suit - that's pretty cool because I didn't like the cut of the one I used last yr. I'd like a bit of consistency between my suits considering the size of the shows I'm looking at.

And yes, I took some "progress pix" this afternoon... I'll post up the least icky of the bunch. Of course I took these right after I chugged 4 cups of coffee so a bit squishy and the light sucked. And major irritation trying to get the timer feature on my camera to work... However, when u post pix of yourself in a thong bikini when you don't have a thong bikini body yet you are definitely throwing a stake in the ground....

Actually amazed my abs are sorta outlined at this point. Better size in my legs, more size all over in general, but still squishy, ass still big and lat spread still sux... but I've got 9 weeks to deal w/ it...

Lookin strong lady! Love the legs & bis!!! With your weight at 162, what is your height?

As usual, we are our own worst critics - and nine weeks is a long time to 'deal w/it' as you say.

Nice Sassy! You've got some serious muscle there. I can't wait to see you all leaned out. You're going to kick ass!!!

It looks like you have put some size on your quads!! Jealous you leg growth people on here. I have plans already on adding some more size for next year...

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Wouldn't it be nice if you could pick where you wanted your dimensions to change? The quads grow, the delts grow, the ass grows ... uh wait.... no more ass please....Would'nt it be great if you really could laugh your ass off?

For ref, here's how it cut up last yr.
I'm sorry, I don't remember if you do BB or figure last yr. :worried:

If that's how you cut for figure I can't even imagine how you'll look with a cut for BB.

Chuck's the man but I'd have to put my money on you.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

HI Sassy! Glad to see things are working out for you lovely lady! Keep up the fantastic work! I am wondering..I see you are doing a 50p/30f/20c split...do you do carb up days or just a steady 50/30/20 split?

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Funny you should ask...! LOL! Actually I am switching it up tomorrow as I think the 20% carbs is completely stalling me out. I have no energy and I sleep like crap (as you can see from my 3:44 am posting) -- thyroid dragging??

Hmmm... wonder if the low carbs could be attributed to my sleeping like trash too?!?!? Still tryin to figure it all out... hope you get it all under control though! ;) Did I read somewhere you're now 8 weeks out right???

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

8 weeks on Saturday. Staying at the same type of diet for any length of time, you have to assume your body will adjust to it and then there's no element of change to introduce a need for the metabolism to change in response. Low carbs will also start to stall out your body anyway. I've got a few more issues going on than just low carbs but when my sleep gets f'd up, it really screws up everything.

I second the sleep thing sista!!!

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

I just want to say a few things about sleep disorders. I have dealt with them since I was 13 years old. Never knew wh. I have been on every sleeping pill and tranquilizer imaginable. Accupuncture did work surprisingly. Unless I partied all night because the excitement would keep me up. But nothing else worked. I have even been to a sleep clinic. Waste of money I believe.
Have you been to one? They can check for restless leg syndrome or breathing problems that can contribute.
Do you have an inability to fall asleep or stay asleep? I ask because I feel for ya and I have study sooo much on this shit that I hope I can offer some insight.
One weird thing that I noticed that had a contributing factor was...I got a test that showed my food allergies. I had no idea I was allergic to so much. From black/white pepper to eggs and 30 other things. And when I finally stopped eating the stuff I was allergic to I noticed I ws sleeping better. Then I would get a wild hair and eat a brownie or something that I was allergic to and my heart would be beating so hard all night that I would either not go to bed at all or go in teh morning instead. And Sassy, this shit will fuck up your cortisol bad! I was mess all the time. I just wanted to let you know about this because no docs had ever suspected food allergies and since I have it under control, I realy feel that is what it was and a test is totally worth the money.
Good luck girl!
Not being able to digest oats could be the wheat in the oats. I am the same way and found out I have an allergy to wheat. I didnt have it before but from not rotating my foods I developed it.
Maybe you can carb up for a little while until you feel better or add a few carb up days with something besides what youa re eating. Or...maybe try changing ,ost of what you are eating right now for a week and eat different things to see if you are abloe to sleep. Pay attention to why you cant sleep. Is it your heart pounding? To much on the mind? You would be surprised what it can be.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

I've been a "night owl" my whole life. I've been able to digest oatmeal, and sometimes I can't if I don't eat it for a while. I've been able to sleep like a rock and I've had trouble getting any sleep on the EXACTLY same diet and training schedule. I've been eating the same style diet for over 5 yrs. These are things that are things happen day to day for me - some combination of things. Primarily I've been thru the wringer as far as my work situation and being new to the area where I live. This is the primary culprit in all of this. That's just the way its going to be for awhile.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Thx girl. Its a real back & forth w/ the whole competition thing - partly because my targets are very large shows and the cost of it all when I'm living off my life savings right now. Some very big decisions on my plate, and some that I can't act on just yet either. This stuff tends to suck the life out of me.

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

All I need is the pre-judge suit, but that alone is $150. Plus travel & hotel for 2 diff locations - min $500 each, NPC card - $75, application fee - $100 each show... omg.

LOL fill the tub -- my damn tub takes more than the size of my water heater to fill so half the water is cold. Can't win here. LOL!

The good news is that the indecision is not for lack of option - just too many options & trying to tie them all together so I don't get tied down in one place and can't get to the next place.

As they say -- its the destination, but the journey! And what a ride this is....!

I guess it's all just taking one step at a time, huh? You're runnin' with the big guys, so it's a little different for you! .....all my sympathy, girl! You've done this before and you'll come out on top again - that's why we all look up to you so much! Can't wait to finally meet you in July!

Re: Sassy: July 2006 - 41 & BB Bound

Its just another day in the big picture eh? :) You guys keep it all in perspective... Altho its a daily reset on the perspective thing. My cat also helps -- he reminds me that all that really matters is a "big kitty stretch", food in the bowl, a few "moochies" (kitty treats) and a daily trip to the kitty litter and its a good day. (It'd be a fantastic day if he coudl either stop shedding or clean up the shed after himself...)

Yesterday I cleaned the house so bending over w/ the vacuum hose to clean up all the errant cat hair did my back in, thus making a trip to the gym a no go. 30 min cardio tho.

It definitely takes a few minutes to digest that stuff, but its in the diet right now for some extra cals / fat - will get pulled out in a few weeks.

Training: Chest & bis
* I hate training chest because I can't get a mofo pump to save my life - thus as you'll see, a bit of over training, but I finally got a pump.

Warm up - 8 min elliptical
Rotator warm up:
- cable inside / outside: 5/20 (4) 10/20(4)

Giant (chest):
- incline DB: 45/15 50/12 x 2 -- tried to do the 55's but no one around to help get the mofos up....
- incline DB fly: 20/15 x 3 - spent more time on the contraction than the weight because the heavier DB press tends to aggravate my shoulders

Giant (chest):
-hammer strength iso-lateral wide chest (2 ct squeeze, 4 ct drop): 55/12 x 3
- unassisted chest dips: body wt/12 x 3
