I feel for you there bro, Same area for me to. The reason you have such a big following is because your so helpfull people on here, i see you spend alot of time trying to help other members with diet and training, k to u bro.

The snatch is best coached, not learned on one's own IMO

In 3-4 weeks having been G.P. Rowing that whole time (knock on wood) and squatting ... up to 2x week hopefully by then i'll review my schedule again.

As long as your still doing the ab work and stretching a lot I bet it all works it self out rather quickly.

I KNOW i'm missing out and it pisses me off. But i'd much rather be glad that i'm healthy and injury free right now... "this too shall pass" :)

Injuries suck for sure. You need to be careful first, and kill that shit 2nd...right?

Cardio: HIIT ~13 minutes on Step Mill up to 15 speed (kill yourself speed)
I did the first 5 minute session and thought i was going to die... got off, stretched out... quads were worked more than they have been in a LONG time, could hardly stand. Got back on... and repeated twice... but last session was ~2 minutes, i was toast.

10 minutes on treadmill slow pace 3.0 speed, cool down walk

* +1 rep from last time, felt weak from low carbs early in the day though, and just shitty feeling all day... so overall, not bad I suppose for feeling like poop.

Seated DB Military: 50'sx8, 60'sx5, 70'sx5, 75's x5

Modified Rear Delt: 35's x10, 45's x8, 55's x8

side raises, front raises... I KNEW I was forgetting something, but couldn't think of it and left.

seems like a good workout? are u comfortable with behind the neck anything? i know my docs have told me a BIG no-no for them, but do they affect u too in a bad way?

BTN feels natural for me now. Takes some getting used to. Helps posture and flexability once you can do it no problem.

DB Military I bring by my ears and lock out behind my head at the top. No chest involved at all.

I used to have shoulder issues, so no they do not affect me badly in any way.

on dbell press, turn the dumbells so they are paralell with the ground and push upwards, not together....tell me if you don't notice a huge difference......

I lift at a Gold's :rolleyes: ... it's the most un-Gold's gym ever.

Well 'cept that it does have a sweet weight room cuz it's separate from all the machine and cardio stuff in another room.

I love dropping those DB's they do go flying, lol... gotta watchout.

:) Thanks. I guess the CGBP strength is helping. I've got the form down pat on the PP's now too for sure. I use as little leg drive as possible, but on the last set I use a bit more to get the weight off my traps.

My back is feeling friggin' wonderful lately.

I can slouch all day and have no pain, ect. (not that I should, and i correct when i realize but just sayin').

The stretching and mid back work is helping tremendously.

Carry on.

THATS GREAT SGT! Pain free days baby are on the way!

I have been stretching too, chest mostly.....

I do have a KNOT tho, left side, under shoulderblade. Its constantly tight, i can stretch it it etc, but it seems to knot back up.

Good stuff bro... keep stretching even when it feels better.

That knot. Attack it with a roller.... something semi soft/hard... whatever u can withstand.

Lay on it... on the floor... use ur legs and roll up and down on it where the knot is. I guarantee it feels 10x better after a few rolls.

I use a lacrosse ball sometimes :evil:

Then at the end of his workout he digs a hole and "lays" the eggs like a sea turtle - take about 15 min to get all 4 out - pretty sweet cool-down.

*FUCK! Top of knee pain. Gezus H Christ you have got to be kidding me. I didn't blow anything out that i know of. I can walk. I can not bend at my left knee past 60*ish... I can't hit 90* at all in an air squat :( strain, semi tear I dunno. Only thing different from usual squatting was I wore flat shoes instead of running shoes today.

... and so, I continued on after accessing the situation. I just can't bend at my left knee :rolleyes:

Ok, after my initial flip out... and my *B-unit* consult, I think it was just from lack of stretching during my sets... feels better already.

My squat session started out in the middle of the weight room cuz someone was using the only rack... did a few sets out there (already thrown off from the start) ... then went into the rack he left early for me.... and did my last few sets in there. Oui, not again.

Streching that biznatch out tonight... friggin' scared me.

Yeah they're like Power/Jump shrugs. No, not all work sets... that's what I did. Warm up with 225 ... to working weight of 415. I can do more than that probably, but it's not really nessesary, lol. Can't wait to get back to deadlifting :evil:

I just thought of another factor to being extra tighter than usual for squats. The HIIT session on the step mill :rolleyes:

Me too, the knee is sore today... nothing that shouldn't be ok in a few days after a few stretching sessions I don't think.

:D ... I stuck to my planned meal, for the record.

Are you more dominant with the leg with the knee issue. Sounds like tight quads to me as well... You have to incorporate a good stretching routine if you want to keep pounding the heck out of your body. You have too.
Or you are going to be more prone to injury.
Get yourself some hard wood :evil:

Carbs are way low now, just curious... cuz I WILL want to fill out my musckles, I can do without the subQ water though.

IMO you need to look for complex carb sources to reflect a 'carb up'
i.e. 5 Large white potatoes + 1 cup oats is still less than 300 g carbs
That is ALOT of carbs right there...
Generally to do a proper carb up you will need to deplete first... and you think your carbs are low now :)

What would a carb up be for my weight *B*??

500-600 grams of carbs wasn't uncommon on my bulk... anyday, lol.

Carbs are way low now, just curious... cuz I WILL want to fill out my musckles, I can do without the subQ water though.

If you're doing low carb... which for ketosis purposes is under 50g a day... a carb up would be making it like 40% of ur intake. Sounds right to me. Feel free to disregard. I would. :)

After 1/2 pizza it usually goes like this:

a) I just ate half a pizza, what was I thinking no more!!!

b) I just ate half a pizza, what's another half gonna do? Might as well finish it!

a usually leads to c about a couple hours later...

c) I ate half a pizza before, what's another half gonna do? Might as well finish it!

The only way to prevent c is the immediate throwing away of the pizza after a). Even then lesser mortals than yourself have been known to pull a costanza... (that one slice there hasn't left the cardboard surface.... it's OK.....)

I have found the best way to get into keto is to keep carbs below 5% for the day. The key to a keto "diet" is to make sure you have enough fat.

I'm doing low carb for "me." Keto makes me want to kill myself and people around me :evil: No good.

LOL, "C" may be happening... that's ok though, I'm not worrying about it. I actually am allowed 2 reward meals per my DietBunny. I used to not be able to go a few days of clean food without cheating.

I can't wait for pizza and beer :chomp:

Doesnt mean you wont gain LBM, I gained LBM last 2 x I cut, you need to get your BF done to give you a way to track it properly if you are going to let it get to you.

Not going to let YOU rely on the scale, I know you loved it going up, but you need to find out what LMB is doing. I may know someone to do it at the Arnold for you, 10 sites etc. Ill let you know when day gets closer.

Bunny is right......get your bf tested now and then again in 4 weeks......you might be losing muscle, you might be losing fat, you might be just losing water and bloat.....wayyyy too many variables.....I threw all my scales out a long time ago.....it's merely mirror, waist (pants), and calipers.........

PLUS, a carb up so to speak with the diet you are currently on will only lead to 3 steps backwards and some plump gain......seriously......a carb up is used when you are depleted....your diet bro, is farrrr from depletion....HOWEVER, you are doing well....keeep it up....I got your support!

yes sarge...i would have 1 or 2 carb up days a week which for you would be around 300-350g...but make sure 2 days before each carb up day your depleting yourself.

ie.

day 1 low carb day am cardio on empty stomach, 30g of complex carbs a few hours later with gluc

day 2 low carb day am cardio on empty stomach, 30g of complex carbs a few hours later with gluc

day 3 high carb day 300g of complex carbs 0ats, potato, yams, brown rice etc.

I can't deal with low/no carbs. If I can get results without doing that, ya damn right i'm going to aviod it, lol.

The first thing I looked at was the last set of CGBP, so I was surprised by the weight until I read the comments. Nice PR, although you might want to be conservative next week (e.g., 2-3 pound increase) if things got a bit shady form-wise at the end. Also, clearly this lift-off business needs to stop...will you be using a monolift when you start back squatting again? ;) Unracking the bar is part of the lift, too.

i was enjoying not having to readjust my back after yolking the weight off the pins.

Na, form wise it was quality... but I may have died if it were 5lbs more. That's all. lol

lol, maybe I'm just being a lifting purist since it's something that won't impact development much either way. But it does seem to fail the BiggT Test, which I just pulled out of my ass and define as "Would BiggT do X?", where X is some questionable lifting-related activity like "do his overhead work seated", "use the Smith Machine" or "wear this size XS pink polo shirt to show off the gunz?"

If you're having trouble keeping your back tight when unracking the bar, you might need to change your setup a bit. Moving back on the bench and/or lowering the rack height are two things that come to mind as possible adjustments.

Moving back I've tried... I do that, but I need to move back down on the bench, otherwise lowering the bar right into the pins.

Rack Height?... my gyms equipment is all permanatly fixed. just like the squat rack with no adjustable safety catches :rolleyes:


OHH! Forgot to mention... after that PR, my erectors went WTF!? They were tensed up or something, felt like i just did GM's after that set. probably a form malfunction on that set. had to stretch them out after.

Well... after last night, no one would have won the bet :evil:

... after speaking with my Diet Consigliari and Mentor, i'm not allowed to eat like a douchsack tonight. Sucks cuz I didn't get my "fill" last night, i woulda eaten more had I been realistic at the time and thought ahead. But, tis my own fault. I had fun at least. Lots of billard games.

I had ~10 "light" beers, 1 q.p. with cheese, 10 nuggs, large shitty fry (horrible stale).

just chalk. no belt, no straps. over/over grip. Felt DAMN smooth, i'm very pleased. Hopefully I have more pulling from the floor in my future again :)

Sumo with the close grip made me keep my ass down and not straight leg the weight up like traditional and how I used to pull. I like it.... thanks MikeM :beer:

Lat Pull Down: 120x10, 150x8, 200x6* ... I was tired

Str8 Arm Pull down: 30x10, x8 ... then got kicked out, gym closed... no time for gheighty
