Reverse band lifts

Reverse band deadlift: appoximately what weight should I want on the bar for the plates to be on the ground?

The way I setup the dead, I had it where 85 lbs(including bar) made it where a 45 would be on the ground and there was no tension at lockout. Average bands just looped through the highest I could set the pins on my rack(about 5'8")

Reverse band bench- what weight do I want on the bar for the bar to touch my chest?

I set it up where 75 lbs had the bar on my chest and little tension at the lockout. Light bands choked to the top of my rack.
 
hey... didnt you tell me that it took like 315 for the bar to touch the ground????

when i set it up for bench, i had 55 lbs pullin off my chest, and 0 at lockout
 
Green and blue bands both work well in the reverse band bench. I think that they shoul
d be done every 4 to 6 weeks. Use a thumbs distance away from the smooth. Make sure to start with some weight on the bar. My best is 475 with the blue bands. many westsiders say that its the closest ME movement to benching with a shirt.
 
I tried the reverse band deads today and liked them!! I choked a green at the higest setting of my rack(5'8"). It was set to where it took 95 lbs to have the plates touch the floor and the top was the slightest tension(I'm guessing 5-10 lbs or so).


I hit 475 with a very close conventionsl stance(feet about 3-4 apart). I was very happy with that. I am much weaker conventional than I am sumo. I may give them a go next week and go for that 5th plate! Deadlifts rock!!


I'm going to be testing my sumo out in a few weeks also. Can't wait to get those legs out wide and move some weight!
