refeed/carbing up when dieting

hey guys,

i am doing really well at cutting up. im not doing a high fat diet as they make me feel terrible- instead ifm basically doing high protein, low fat, low carb, high fibre. eating around 1000 cals a day. im taking ECA and Albuterol, and the weight is falling off me. i take a carnitine supplement and more stimulants before i work out, and have half a PWO shake, after every work out- im not having any trouble getting a good work out- mind over matter.

however, after reading lyle mcdonalds books, i am thinking that one or twice a week i should have a refeed meal, consisting primarily of sugar and starches-

i was wondering how greatly this will effect my weightloss-

1. is it necessary to refeed to prevent muscle catabolisation (i am on hrt but not on cycle)
2. will it speed up the metabolism

im just not sure if it is necessary- apart from the mental benefits.

any advice or just general thoughts.

cheers

1000 cals/day? thats dangerous or just not beneficial.

The average person who does not WO nneds anywehre from 1500-1800 min to function.

I am interested though on the refeed diet.

totally i know it seems nuts-

but its pretty much 1000 cals from protein and one gets into a fat burning mode- im taking multi vits and fish oils- im not planning on doing it more than a couple of weeks, and the carb ups should keep things ticking over
