so this guy on my team told me he drank red bull and helped him a lot during the practice

so I tried to do it today and it surely did a good job.. we had our hardest practice today with whole lot of sprints and basically the hardest practice so far since the season began..

anyway It obviusly didnt give me wings or anything but helped me beat most of guys during sprints and kept me going even when usually im tired as hell...

so to get to the point can you guys tell me what I should take as prepractice drink to have a same effect

I noticed it had vitamin B12 in it which supposedly helps your body make more red blood cells so more oxygen is carried to your muscles.(I was considering buying that, now Im definetly doing gonna do it)

but I think theres some more stuff in it like caffeine etc

RED bull = water, sugar, vit b, minerals and vitamins and caffeine

take an ECA stack w/ a protein/dextrose mix and you'll get the same if not greater benefit

redbull only has 80mg caffeine in it... drip coffee has about 115-130mg...

i don't see why everyone thinks it has more...

yea I dont know whatver it was it did a good job..

potassium, b12, carbs, b6? what else is good for increasing endurance?

Really? I stand corrected. That is surely news to me. When I'm working late nothing gets me going like a red bull. Including a large cup of coffee. Maybe it's the sugar too. I really thought it had more caffeine than that.

Red Bull has lots of caffeine and sugar, the vitamins and herbs is a bunch of BS marketing. If you want the same buzz less money, drink a few cans of mountain dew and take a vitamin, vitamins contain the same amount of B vitamins as Red Bull. Also B6 and B12 don't give you energy, they help release energy from the food you eat. Anyway I know coffee has tons of caffeine, but for some reason it doesn't give me a buzz at all. But when I drink 2 or 3 cans of mountain dew it gives me crazy energy, perhaps its the combo of sugar and caffeine together. Red Bull costs 2 to 3 bucks a can, mt dew is 25 cents, I guess I'm kinda cheap, I rather spend my money on more protein, than pay for Red Bull's marketing.

energy is not exactly what I'm looking for most of the time that comes naturally during practice...

but I read on the message boards and b12 increases red blood cells which helps carry more oxygen throughout your work out to ur muscles.

something like that anyway

paying 2 bucks for a drink everyday is kinda weak though thats why I was wondering if I took maybe something like b12 by itself and caffeine by itself

P.S. theres sugar free red bull what about that?

you can drink a mountain dew and take a "b" complex vitamin, its much cheaper and should work better, cause "b" complex vitamins have about 400% of the daily value, and red bull has 100 %. Are you trying to avoid sugar? If you want potassium you can drink gatorade, or eat a banana.

well I'm not exactly sure if I should be avoiding sugar or not.. I mean I have a 3 hour long basketball practices where we basically go balls out so I dont think a little sugar is gonna hurt me all that much
